simplehuman Shower Shelf Bath Caddy £19.99 Dispatched from and sold by simplehuman® / amazon
Found 21st JulFound 21st Jul
A nice and durable (5 year guarantee) shower shelf from simplehuman. Doesn't appear on the simplehuman website from what I can see, so may be an end of the line offering.

There is only one review for this item

I'm truly confused with this, I like the picture and it's just what I was looking for but the description and the reviews seem to be for a different product, a floor to ceiling shelving unit with 3 shelves. But one of the photos in the reviews is of the over shower caddy... Who knows!! Maybe I'll just order it and hope for the best!

Ah, i miss those days before retirement when i was in so much of a rush i had to clean my teeth in the shower.

Unless you use short fat products everything falls out if anything like this

Are these the ones you can put without having to drill holes on the tiles?

Excellent customer service from SimpleHuman

I would say that it's unlikely that this bin will be as reliable as the brabantia - so it's horses for courses. As for whether you can return the other bin - not sure but ask them - they may want you to pay for return postage....

Thanks. Reason I ask is because I bought the Brabantia from Ebay the other day but now wondering if this is better value for money and is good - should I return that and go for this - saves some money too?

Ordered the SH 40l slim one earlier thinking this was a bargain at £35 half price but then just seen on Dunelm site for £24 so cancelled Tesco

They sold me a washing machine when they didn't even have any to sell. Drips

Expire this, everything is OOS.

It’s bin along time since I’ve seen deals this good!

Simplehuman 58 litre dual compartment pedal bin £135.99 @ Amazon
Found 14th MayFound 14th May
Voted one of the best bins on many websites. Quite hard to find this cheaper than £160.

For that price I want it to vacuum the house, mop/polish the floors, change its own bin liner then take itself outside to be emptied come back it & wipe itself down with disinfectant.. Is that too much to ask for...!?!? 😝😝😝😋

Great price, some people just don’t appreciate the aesthetics. It may be ‘just a bin’ but if it’s out on display in the kitchen, not hidden away, then you want something that looks good.

For that price I would expect a simple human binman!

How simple would you have to be?

Back on topic, problem is that 58litres isn't that big for a dual purpose bin. We have 60l for normal waste alone, with recycling separate.

I have this bin. After my Brabantia broke I rate this as great qualtiy and more reliable. Heat.

I’m not sure but there wasn’t the usual yellow sticker which usually means store specific. I personally don’t trust what Tesco tell me over the phone regarding stock. I called up once and they said they didn’t have any of what I was looking for in any of my local stores and they did.

I rang Tesco’s and they don’t have any stock in the northwest.

I also use costco bags, very good quality also they're on offer atm £6 for 90 bags.

Agree great bins bags very pricey but we just use costco ones.

Mine has just arrived but I think it may be faulty, is the lid supposed to fully close without using the lock, as mine stays slightly open. I've attached the lid correctly so wondering if it's the slow close damper at fault?

at least yours came with a lid! mine didn't and neither did the replacement, so currently have 3 bins in my kitchen (shock)

£34.99 now

how on earth do you get the lid fastened on? I assume it clicks in place but don't want to force it too much. forget that... found this

Looks expensive to me for a plastic bin.

I have this exact one, bags are brilliant!!! Just a little expensive that's all, but they do the job brilliantly.

Had one for a while (inherited from a house purchase) ... bags are a nightmare.

Keeps coming back at around this price. At £23.99 previously. Commented last time on using charity bags instead of proper bags and took some flak. Standard 40 litre bags are fine too.

I bought a grey one for £30 in 2012. It's used in the kitchen for mixed recycling. I use the tailor made bags which are quite expensive, but I reuse them several times as nothing too mucky goes in there. The bin still looks good after 6 years use. P.S. The lid hinges from the back, so you need quite a bit of height above the bin for the lid to open fully. I think it would work OK under a counter, you might have to pull it out a bit to get really big stuff in there.

This is going to bug me.... Do you have a round top/cylindrical simplehuman bin? Can't see how the Brabantia G liner will fit the top of my bin....

Does anyone know a good cheap source for 10L tie bin bags? (for brabantia bin, non-generic)

Free delivery on orders over £49. :( That’s too many bin liners.

Tried the Wilkos bin liners once, they split, so went straight back to Brabantia

it was from amazon =)

It’s not a charity that produces the bags. Read the next one that comes through the door and 9 times out of 10 it’s a company who say they’ll donate a portion of their profits to the charity that’s plastered all over the bag. On that basis I never put anything in these bags and just keep hem to use them, plus if anyone wants to spend money to push things through my door that I haven’t asked for then why shouldn’t I keep them

You could always just put that on the doorstop, I’m sure it costs charities to produce the bags. How thoughtless.

Love this brand, I’ve got the wider one that I got in Range about 6 months ago? Was on promo at £24, I love it (as much as one can love a bin?!)

Exactly my thought too! Give that man a clap for actually using his brain unlike most that come on here, that buy expensive bags and then moan!

This is a good deal if you're specifically after the simple human one of these rather than one of the cheap versions people are commenting on about finding cheaper. This site is about finding a specific item cheaper than anywhere else which is what this post is I believe unless someone can post a link to a cheaper deal. I got one of these over a year ago from lidl for around £12 and it is still going strong.

Argos sell these for around £26

I used to have something similar. I am sure that I bought it from poundstretcher for around £20. I've got this and the full length one. They are both excellent quality. Not cheap but they look good

Also on Amazon at same price, but with a delayed delivery. Quite a few reviews saying it rusts quite quickly - which is odd for a shower caddy!

Superb quality, I bought the full length one for my mums wet room, seemed expensive at the time but it's still as good as new 2 years on.

Simplehuman 30L bin. Been looking for a deal on this. I wanted one after my dad bought it for his house. He got it for £100 from dunelm £3.50 delivery

Personally i'm not a fan of pedal bins - hate them. I liked the brabantia too with the push lid that opens but the thing I like about the simplehuman is that you can open it by nudging it with your knee/hip etc. Love the way the bin liners fit on so perfectly too

To answer my own question yes it is available instore, it was marked up at £99 and also scanned at £99 at first but the cashier has to press next or finish or whatever and then the price drops to £45

So why is this bin so good? I'm genuinely interested.

Anyone know if this is instore too?

- The only person fighting over it is you X) - The model I had we're plastic with a brushed metal outer sleeve, looked very nice as long you Brasso'd it every week

Just want to lighten up the post - there is always a cheaper version of whatever you buy made in China (and costs less) - if it's not already made there! Actually SH is founded by a Chinese in US, didn't know that..

Oh's just a soap dispenser - you either like it or don' need to fight over it. Not simplehuman vs dettol the finally saga! I did however buy the dettol dispenser from America when they first came out and loved it. Thought it was best thing since sliced bread lol. Though after a while but you do feel stuck with their soaps and no i didn't bother refilling the refiller.. These are rechargeable with mini usb..not that It matters but fyi I have a few of these dispensers in bathrooms and kitchen and one is from the AAA era (the white old models) which must rather chunky though not sure how you managed to have rust on's plastic?!?

I used to have 3 of the Dettol version and found them very easy to refill and incredibly reliable. I then 'upgraded' to these and TBH they were rubbish, they were unreliable, the batteries didn't last as long and the finish tarnished/rusted. I wish I'd stuck to the Dettol ones.

Jamming a screwdriver in to the refill pack and hoping for the best every time you want to refill it isn't common sense. Common sense would be buying a system that is designed to be refilled.
