Honor 7C Black CRAZY DEAL (3+32 GB) for £119.99 Delivered @ HiHonor

At the risk of sounding like the Xiaomi fan I am, the Note 5 3/32 version costs £117 on eglobal and has 636>450 and 4000maH

Good price, the display on mine is a bit washed out and it has some bloat where installed. Battery life is reasonable for a 3000mAh battery lasts all day with fairly hard use calling and data. I dont use it for gaming so cant report on that.

That thermostat is sure big and ugly. It looks like ambisense is another smart heating product and is expandable and not compatible with vsmart which I think it replaces. Have to do more research on which one to go for.

This might be an option

Further research and seem Vsmart does not support heating zones :( I guess I can use those old fashion manual radiator thermostats instead.

I don't think vsmart will do zoning. Might be wrong though. Ask Vaillant tech support they are usually helpful (y)

Sounds like an idea however I don’t know haven’t looked into it myself but I am sure there are some 3rd party products that can if your boiler manufacturer doesn’t. I seem to have the minimum in that respect - radiators balanced and all with those turnable radiator valves

Is anyone using xiaomi sensors with NODE-RED? I have started to connect all different xiaomi sensors/buttons and they seem to act good for now!

SmartThings has a reputation for being a nightmare with HA so that may be the reason for your frustration, perhaps dump it and try a different direction. HA is quite simple as long as you don't try to run before you can walk and get your head around the basic principles after which you can just take other peoples code and tweak it for your own purposes without needing to learn anything more involved. Best starting point is something simple with direct control from a built in component and working over wifi rather than needing a third party element, Yeelights are a perfect example.

Well, that's exactly how it should be, Smartthings reading the sensors, and nothing happening. If you're lucky nothing will happen. HA does take some effort, it was enough to setup talking to ST for me, I can't concentrate at the moment for what I have planned, linking up the voice interface

Sorry to hear about the fire. Point them in the direction of a Xiaomi smoke detector! I'm still running smart things as the ZigBee radio for my Xiaomi door sensors and not much else . Don't feel like I'm getting enough use out of it really . Tempted to try some Xiaomi light switches and one of these days I'll dip my toes into HA again but I do find it hard to configure.

Nice one, cheers (y)

yes I think I used telephone jelly crimps (like what BT uses), ones with 3 holes, they create a really good secure connection. I probably had one wire going in from the rgb controller and then 2 out to both ends of the led strip for each colour update; 3 way telephone jelly crimps something like this ; link think mine were yellow coloured

Used the magichome as above and works a treat, via the app and also voice controlled via Alexa very pleased the quality of these lights are also very good. I also connected 2 sets of these together and worked great via the one magichome. Bargain.

Anyone know if they are still selling these? thanks

Thanks! Can see the point now, didn't think that the remote will only work pointed to the IR, with the app you don't need pointing, so learnt something new, thanks.

Yes it would. Then control with remote pointed to the IR. Where magichome you could ask Alexa to turn on a specific colour as one example and phone controls the rest. Helpful if you don’t want or can’t have plug and IR on show for remote use.

Mine arrived this morning. Easily set up to the virgin media hub & Google home, all working good so far. I must say I'm very impressed considering the price!

I finally got a response from them. They basically said they don't have any in at the moment I could either wait for more to come in (no time scale) or choose something else. I told them option 3 and a full refund via Paypal.

I've not had them despatched yet either

Can't help but feel that I'll never see these plugs or my £20 again.

Can't flash OTA for this model unfortunately. It would have been perfect otherwise.

This is very handy, much appreciated.

If you afraid of paying 30odd quid for a camera that is normally around 70 if not more, then don't buy it. Hope this sounds like a HUD's buyer not seller. I've got one and for money paid it does what says

Been using this for a week or so now and have to say it's very good considering the price. I have fibre but with John Lewis/Plusnet and their dreadful router with awful house coverage but the alerts on my phone activate almost instantly and the picture is excellent given its 'only' 720P. At the price it has to be a bit of a steal.

Hope this helps

For the sake of an extra £18 is it not just worth getting one like this off Amazon, delivered next day via Prime. With the added security/piece of mind of being able to return it and get a full refund within days of it being delivered.

"Cheapest it's been for a while & seems to be the best price around at the moment" Sorry, but that's rubbish. I've bought three on separate occasions over the past month on AliExpress, and all three were cheaper than this.

Great response, thanks heardy21. Much appreciated. Think I'll take the plunge and give the extension a try, thanks.

Good points.

Yes Dave, I’ve got 6 plugs and one extension and they work a dream. Pros are they are a decent build quality for the price, and do exactly what I need. The app you can set routines and scenes. The only con which is small is that the plugs are a little bulkier, but no more than others. I have the mss210 and the adapter is mss425e. The sockets are placed at a decent distance so fairly hefty plugs can be used. The usbs are powered as a single group so it’s all on or off, which tbf doesn’t cause me any issues, as I only have iphone charger plugged in. I believe they’re 10amps per socket. Like u said, hard to gauge how long they’ll be going for, but if I get a few years then I’m happy. Plus if you buy a plug they will probably send u a 30% discount on your next product for writing and honest review on amazon, so bringing the extension price down to £16. I’d recommend them all day long and find the superior to same of the big brands.

Yes. I use one on the TV and HiFi to switch off before bedtime. It’s amazing how much power they can use on standby!

chrisredmayne You should get 10% off if it's any good for you ! Quidco is good for first orders too I think

Cheers. I did open the credit account - didn't want to but it was easier than moving off the sofa to get my wallet!! I've left the beam in my basket and will hope for a 20% code. Will definitely bite then.

I think you need to open a credit account to get the codes, not for everyone but works well for me, can pay stuff off straight away of you want and it's 0% interest over 12 months. They send me codes all the time though, makes it the cheapest shop by far i think but others hate it because their returns policy is poor, if you open the item it's hard to return and if somethings broke they refer you to the product company which is why they are so lowly rated, thankfully I've had no issues

(y) (highfive) There isn't a jealous emoji but I'm certainly green now Edit; oh and slightly annoyed I had to sign up to Very just to check the code!!!

Ah that sucks, I went crazy with it! Ordered to play ones and the beam! My house will finally be fully connected in every room!!

Uncaring Carphone Warehouse Carphone Bewarehouse are a terrible company for customer service. Last week I made a mistake of going to their shop to buy a new moto g6plus phone (only availiable from them THANKS Motorola!) and a few moments after purchase I saw on the box that it was not dual sim.Box still sealed and unopened ,had only just left the shop. I went back in and They point blank refused to refund me their “help” desk was unhelpful and when I wrote to them they ignored the request and told me as they had not responded in their normal timescale they thought I may have gone back to the shop. All delaying and browning off tactics. I now despise this company including their other shops of Currys , PC World and Dixons. I will never buy from them again. Be forwarned they are absolutely awful if you make a mistake.

Amazon are quite good, let them know it's not working as expected.

I've played around with it and it does seem to have a lot of potential. The app doesn't have 4k video, but it's just only been released, so hopefully they'll add this feature in the next update. There's more degree of rotation as unlike the Osmo 2, the YI can rotate 360 degrees and it also includes an extra function which holds the horizontal.

I have s8 and I can't get it to work properly, it has a mind of its own, the app is utter rubbish and Bluetooth connection from the app keeps disconnecting and also the camera using the yi gimbal app doesn't focus properly. Don't know if Amazon will refund? I tried calibration few times, using Samsung camera app I was able to make a video however it wasn't straight.

Arrived this morning and really struggling to get it working correctly... Think my Huawei P20 Pro may be a bit too big for it
