Standard price elsewhere seems to be 399.99 (349.99 after cashback). Bundles with lenses aren't looking quite as attractive at the moment.
Brilliant camera. I have one and it's incredibly powerful.
How long does the cashback usually take? Been waiting over a week now?

If anyone is looking for a case, I can highly recommend this one (I paid £10, now £13).Only issue I've had was claiming cashback. Instead of paying £100, they only paid me £50. However, they were quick to resolve that and should be getting the other £50 within the next 1-2 days.

Great price for this amazing lens using code 'BLACK8' + potential 3.5% cashback with Topcashback (additional £9.17 off). Cheaper than used on eBay.
Very tempting.. BUT STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.. They are based in China and most of their reviews are bad with a lot of nightmares faced by customers. It's best to pay 20-30quid more and have a peace of mind and a shop to take it back to..
Decent price, though It's £299 on Amazon almost the lowest it has been if you want UK warranty and piece of mind.
good price though reviews for eGlobal are not that good.

The obvious issue I have is the cost of the glass as I bought both the Tamron's 17-50 VC f2.8 and my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 used for about £550. I'm pretty happy with my setup but when I'm travelling, having a smaller, lighter one would be preferable. (I only take the Tamron and a cheap Canon 55-250 IS with me as the sigma is way too big!)

I recently picked up a A6300 and Sigma MC-11 EF to E Mount adapter (non Sigma A, C, S lenses only work with single shot and continuous focus on the A6300, no Sony Eye AF or Tracking), but the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 works great, unsure about the Tamron or function with the A6000 but there are plenty of reviews on YouTube etc.

Coming from a Canon 7D the A6300 seems a lot sharper and faster to focus, I believe this A6000 is still pretty good and would probably be a upgrade whilst being more portable, worth checking out for sure!

It's up to you. The 20mm is a 35mm 30mm equivalent (that's a nasty looking sentence)! So I prefer a lens between 28 and 35 for everyday stuff which is what that is. At around 45mm the 30 is too tight for walking around town/everyday for me. Plus the 20 is VERY thin....
the 20mm over the 30mm? Cos I dont wanna chage lenses every 5 minutes. i thought 12mm for landscape and 30 for everyday/family
Consider the 20 2.8 too. It never leaves my 5N....
right now prices are around £439 body or £489 with kit lens. I am waiting for any shop to do a discount, i hope that after sony starts to ship them again they may reduce the price. And my choosen lenses are going to be sigma 30mm 2.8, samyang 12mm 2.0 and sony 55-210.

I was going to go for a long zoom bridge, hate the idea of carrying lots of lenses and I know the IQ isn't on par with DSLR but then me other half wants her own camera and I saw the recent posting for the G6 at the £299 brackets with positive feedback so figured she can have a bridge and I can get something bit more creative. The idea of being able to use loads of different lenses on m43rds seems interesting...Back to some research

Bear in mind the vast majority of bridge cameras are little more than generic compact cameras in SLR-style housing with massive zoom lenses, image quality isn't going to be great in any situation. An interchangeable lens system camera like a mainstream DSLR or one of the many mirrorless systems does't mean having to carry around a ton of lenses all over the place, just think about what you plan to shoot before you leave the house and pick the appropriate gear from there. For example I do the majority of my shooting with a single lens, my Sigma 18-35 "standard zoom", but if I know I'm heading out where there will be wildlife or action to capture, then I'll pack my telephoto to go along with it.
ElGofre

As a general rule the larger the sensor size the greater the potential … As a general rule the larger the sensor size the greater the potential for better image quality. In this case the A6000 has a "DSLR sized" APS-C sized sensor while the G6 has a smaller micro four-thirds sensor. That aside, the A6000 is widely regarded as among the very best mirrorless cameras. Superb image quality, superb autofocus, superb EVF, superb continuous shooting speed, there's very little not to like about this camera. The G6 does have a couple of notable selling points in its favour, such as a more traditional SLR-style form factor that many people prefer (of course on the other side of the coin a lot of people will prefer the Sony's more compact body and the benefits being smaller brings) and using the micro four-thirds standard means a far larger selection of lenses from several manufacturers. It's also worth noting that this is the price for a grey import, body only camera, compared to the G6 which is a good chunk cheaper on the current deal with an included lens and valid UK warranty. The A6000 is undoubtedly capable of taking much better images, but you'll most likely be throwing another couple of hundred quid into some decent glass to use it with and if you get caught and have to pay import tax (which has happened with digitalRev in the past, according to the folks on the photography subreddit and dpreview forums) then it could soon add up to the point where you're paying double the £299 the G6 deal is going for.

Well I have got my camera (with 16-50mm) now as well as the 35mm 1.8 lens and the 55-210mm kit zoom.

All in all I'm very impressed. Decent low light. Some nice app features. Very sharp 35mm with great DoF and lovely colours. Insane burst speed. Great quality video. Instant auto focus and good tracking.

Really it is everything you could want from an APS-C, and a great size. All in I've still spent less than £1k which is pretty good given the kit. I imported the 35mm for about £240 from HK and got the zoom for £145 from eBay. Both brand new. Recommended!
