Anyone had this dispatched yet? Just says delivery date pending on mine. I’m guessing the order might end up being cancelled. As for the reviews, we have one of these already, it worked perfectly for us in our last house, wasn’t quite so good at the bottom of our current stairs as they are a bit wider but still does the job. I wouldn’t pay full price for it but definitely worth a go at under £7 :)
Gone back up now ,I've ordered it ,just so the puppy doesn't go upstairs so okay for that purpose
The reviews seem terrible 😣
Almost bought it until I read the recent reviews!

That’s really kind of you. I think I’ll wait but thanks for the offer (y)
Hi. Hope you're well. I can do that.. Can you message me as I'm unsure on how to do on here. I can sort a return label out. Thanks.. Much appreciate. Take care
I've got a spare one, this extension, in box. Amazon sent me one but when I checked tried to send it back, they said they don't need it. Probably costs them more to return and restock. If anyone needs it, send me a post label and I'll drop it at the post office.
My cat jumps 6 feet up on the wardrobes, I highly doubt something like this would stop him.
Got it after seeing this deal. its a very solid item all made of metal. The door mechanism isnt smooth but for the price you cant complain

Sorry I can't take any pictures, the gates been disassembled as it's no longer needed :) It's basically the same as the picture in the deal post. Lay the two gates on top of each other then slide the top one out until you get the desired size. Make final adjustments with the metal screw adjustments as you would only using a single gate. The kit comes with 2 sets of fixing kits, but as we are making one large gates as opposed to two separate ones you only need to use one set. I used heavier duty wall plugs as the gate is twice as heavy. Never had a problem with sagging or coming away from the wall. The two gates are literally cable tied together (Overlapping as much or as little as needed) to form one single, longer gate. The cable ties serve solely to join the two gates together so they don't effect the function on the gate what-so-ever. Unless I specifically pointed it out people just assumed it was a single long gate. Here's an example: Note that the cable ties above are thread through each other. Once the cable ties are pulled taut the two gates become very ridged. Ofc you can use however many you like :) Hope this helps shed some light on this!
Nice post OP - I am buying it - HEAT ADDED!! @Azurren - If not an issue - can you tell me how, or better still a photo - I would like to do the same but not sure in my head how to! I am stuck in my thinking as to how easy it will be open the cable and how would I get the extension - thanks
I cable-tied the two gates together to fit a larger opening (cheeky) Better and far cheaper than the "extension" kits
sleep deprived, carrying baby and toddler wanting attention... so no i cant.
Prefer auto close because the baby jumps on you and you have the gate to protect them
Yes it was easy; it just slotted out. Unfortunately the panels are very large so by taking one out we also needed to fix it to a baton on bannister to make it fit
That’s really reassuring. I was just about to reply to the post above asking whether this was a major issue as I have just purchased one for the top of our stairs. Was it simple to take the panel or two out so as to better fit the gap in which it is going at the top of our stairs?
Great price. We have one at the top of our stairs and took a panel out so is quite straight and doesn't bend in the middle
just bought one here too for £3.99 in midlands... (y) Can i pls know from which store in midlands?
Does anyone know if these stair gates are going back online at that price. Sold out in two stores by me. Will the restock. Really need stair gates and would be amazing to get them for £3.99
i looked in my local Aldi, these are full price (annoyed)was worth a look though
Not in Aldi Paignton
I had the same thing with the travel cots they tend to be different prices in different stores I rang head office and they told me to try all the stores in my area within a 20 mile radius and silly me did but all 12 stores had no stock I do belive the deals are up north more than in Essex and it's just pot luck.
I got one of these for £25.99 in Clearancr Bargains (Corby) a few weeks back and it is amazing. Well worth the money as its a choice between this or nothing for us and having nothing would be dangerous, making it a very easy choice!
It is cheapet than the normal price. But i needed 3 roller gates, £150 for all 3 was tbe cheapest i found. Even the used ones were expensive because of the postage. This is the pruce, we cant do much. I needed roller gates, but a foldable was fine too and I would have paid this price instead of £50 but could not find any under £40 at that time. Good saving and it will save money to those who need it.
I agree it is expensive but it is a patented design so there is only one option if you need a rigid and foldable stair gate. We needed one to go round a curved step at the bottom of the stairs. Where the roller type and normal flat get just don't work. Thanks for the hot vote. Hope someone saves a bit of money as a result.
Voted hot, decent price considering how expensive the folding/rolling stair gates are, which I believe are overpriced. This is not very cheap in my opinion but still better than paying the normal price.
