bill123s

same as every other plaggy divider. It will inevitably be shoved away somewhere out of site or cracked & binned

Aiadi

You are wrong. It is not a box, it is a SORTMASTER.

joyf4536

Looks so much like the plastic box I got from Screwfix for under a quid (thanks to HDUK) It's a plastic box!!!!!!! it's not filled with Gold - why vote hot? it's an EMPTY PLASTIC BOX!!!!!!! OK it's got "Unique angled corners" but it's still an empty plastic box! Sometimes I think I'm the only sane person around here. Other times I'm 100% sure.

Yeah, it was just my phone - it is in store only and I can check the local places when using a PC. So, not oos!

RUSSt

apparently its in store only

madjohn

All, it would seem. Well, it won't give me the option to pick another branch at all, which is odd. Don't know if that's an error on my mobile. Will check on a PC when I can :)

use code 15WORKSHOP and get it for £4.25 :D If you need a bigger case, you can go for THIS 24" ONE if you use the above code, you'll get it for £17

k0sh

I ordered this last time around. Took my order number to local Halfords to pick up. Halfords guy just said “pick one up from the display there”. I did and walked out leaving the order code for him to register. A few days later I got reimbursed from Halfords as they reckoned it had not been picked up!

thekanester

Ideal if you have really tiny tools!

spamabsorbed

just bare in minds it's a really tiny box.

I'd say small, not tiny. The best size is the one which takes everything you want to put in it without space left over! Due to its shape it could also be useful for a power tool + batteries and charger or similar: you have to think 'outside the box'! ;)

Dear me, I bet you're real fun at parties and other social functions. Ooops nearly forgot :D :D :D :D

Shinoke

How am I supposed to tell? No emoticon used. Seemed like you presumed I'd rinsed a store of the last stock like some people brag about on here. One of these would help next time ;) Ironic, I negatively assumed you'd assumed negatively. Edit: I didn't think your statement had anything to do with your Yeovil joke, I clearly thought you were deriding me for rinsing a store so others couldn't benefit. I just had a notification in HUKD of someone calling me "Swine" But never been called a swine before. Single word insults without an emoticon probably aren't a good idea if you don't want to be taken the wrong way - never seen your posts before.

1616french

Read my earlier post, do you actually think I'd travel 600 miles for a cheap pair of pliers? Unreal!!

1616french

Jesus, I was joking. Are you kidding me?

Shinoke

For reserving one pair of pliers in one store? I was giving thanks to the OP and letting people know that after I reserved one pair that none were showing on the website any more. The other stores must have already been reserved. What a horrible person you are. By the way Wick's stock system is very poor and they called me to cancel - so they never had it in the store anyway.

Purchased yesterday, £5 is about right for this tool, both knifes aren't that sharp, obviously no where near Leatherman or Gerber for quality then neither is the price, still a good find OP, even some of the staff members were getting one when i picked mine up :)

Shinoke

Also not great, but fine for £5-£10

Probably this one, which I have: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAKITA-Brand-160mm-239g-Quality-11-in-1-Multifunction-Tool-In-Pouch-98P123-/152952738661 But I got from FFX for around £8 I think. But £15 is the normal price. Perhaps it's chinese and just branded.

pennyfarthing88

Wow it cost you nothing and you still find fault with it. (excited)

myromoeo

I got one of these a whilst ago free of charge and was utterly disappointed with it, bits turn in the holder quite easily meaning you can’t apply much torque.

gr1340

I bought one of these for £1.81 from Amazon in May 2014 and it is still my go to screwdriver for little jobs. It is currently £3 on Amazon as an add on item. I totally recommend it 100%.

I am still not convinced in ordering. Last time DPD lost my parcel in the depot, forcing me to cancel a plumber who wasn't happy. I ended up paying a revised price for his work. The time before that I said I was going to call the police. Then my girlfriend came home an hour later to find my expensive parcel sat on the drive.

HowardLowe

I have this knife it is simply superior to all other knifes forget Stanley. Worth every penny.

Kyballion

Courier services are really area specific regarding how good they are, along with the drivers. I have the best possible service from DPD so would disagree with you, I hate Hermes and Yodel in my area they are constantly putting things in my bins or throwing it in the garden

lilbeastie

Cold from me. I’ve used a variety of utility knives over the years, including this one, and it’s quite low on my preferred list. It’s clunky but uncomfortable to use for extended periods. If I need a knife for small jobs the one that lives in my kit is a small folding B&Q jobby, for longer jobs I use a non-folding screwfix-branded knife as it’s much nicer to use for extended periods. Comfort, weight/size (if you have to lug your tool bag around) and price are the only real things to consider for a knife like this and this knife fails on all of the above. Pair a cheaper knife with decent blades (I like Irwin blades) and you’ll be better off.

I disagree. I have had one of these (or at least very similar from Stanley) for quite a few years. I use it as an "indoor" toolbox to save having to go out to the garage every time I need a screwdriver or suchlike. It has been dropped on the floor a couple of times with no ill effect. Horses for courses. The metal cantilever one that I keep in the garage is nudging 50 years young and apart from a couple of small rust spots has served me well. My Stanley one must be 10 years old and is used regularly. If it lasts half as long as the metal one I will be happy. It'll probably see me out lol.

I'm not knocking the deal, it looks a lovely tool chest, and the price seems OK, but really what is the point of the galvanised "trim"? The whole thing is, probably, robust plastic, so what does a thin bit of galvanised tin bring to the confection?
