Point well taken Amazon ofcourse want to push prime through as many homes as they can - that much is very clear

The TV's are refurbs which means either returned with faults and repaired or returned for other reasons. I was in 3 weeks ago and I was going to buy a 32" hitachi until a delivery was being put out and they were throwing the boxes around without any care. All the cheap Tvs like bush, hitachi and a panasonic are all 720p. The more expensive ones are 1080p and 4k, all warranties are with an argos approved repairer. I decided to get a samsung against my better judgement from currys.
any oled?
I live down the road, always pop in for a look. Had all sorts, bargains not as good as they used to be, but you do still get a few.

Most recent one was a 20" girls full suspension mountain bike, £59.99 with 20% off. Okay, is a return/refurbished, but looks as new and is less than half the catalogue price. So £48.

Got an 18" bike for my little lad as well, can't go wrong for 2 virtually new bikes with 12 month warranty for less than £90.

Most of their stock is refurbished which generally wouldn't be too much of a problem, but there's basically no quality control.Over the years I've bought a laptop that didn't have its battery in the box, a TV that had no sound, washing machine that had some faults, and a desk that actually turned out to be a wardrobe when I started to assemble it! Don't get me wrong, I've had quite a few lucky finds too which have been fine for me but it's just too much of a risk for me to go back again in the future

Yeah it can be hit and miss but most the stuff I've bought has worked still got a 42" Toshiba working after 5/6 years.

Those were the retractable ones, these are fixed.

The retractable ones were garbage in my opinion, definitely not heavy duty. Had one where the blade clamp became faulty and another one where the button fell off. I'm not alone either, look at the reviews on Amazon and 23% of them are 1 Star. And if you needed to perform any maintenance on it, well tough because they used some kind of Torx screw to close it up.
Hardly any stock anywhere. Great 🙄
