mine arrived today, havent fully got it out of the box, but a little disappointed that the cushion are black, rather than being a dark grey or charcoal as described and shown in the pictures. it still looks pretty nice though and just looking at the side pannels, it seems to be constructed well.
We have this and have struggled to get a cover that fits!
Can someone recommend a good cover for this?
Great! I went for the £279 one so this is great news! Thanks very much (y)
Other then the base, arm width and the colour the sofa is the same. We have the £279 one as we preferred a table and £70 less. We love it!
I got these in grey for around £27 nice sturdy solid footstool well made
I ordered the one in brown a couple of months ago for around £23 which was a decent price then. So I've ordered another to make my pair and I'll sit them either side of the fireplace like my grandma had hers back in the day. #oldschool
I've been trying to get one of these for a few weeks (Home Bargains near here don't sell any). I've been using it around mum's garden (to sit on) and my niece left hers behind a while, before taking it back (she uses it for beauty appointments usually). I bought a similar one from Amazon Warehouse and actually LOL-ed when it arrived as it was so tiny (it was half the size of the adult one, for kids). My brother stood on his fitting curtains and you can imagine what happened - the thing splintered into bits, he's lucky he didn't hurt himself. I still wouldn't recommend standing on the adult size/Kirkton House one, even though the instructions tell you you can. (You can also get these stools in Blue, for some reason Aldi don't have a picture of it on their website).
I don’t get why this is a deal, as others have said these are £2.99 in home bargains all year long (and £3.99 in B&M home bargains)
I bought one from Aldi the last time they had them. some of the plastic snapped off making it useless straight away. I bought the same style before from CPC Farnell. they are solid compared to the Aldi ones.
£2.99 in Home Bargains (which for me is next door to Aldi). But still a good deal at Aldi.
Looking, and found hence sharing the deal! These are the perfect fit for my decor, the wife wanted black and as i said i feel they are a step up to my previous ones. I had a skim over your last few comments and you seem to like hijacking threads, or posting alternatives YOU feel are better. If you have a deal that good then by all means share it with the community yourself, i'm sure some would love to know and want to purchase them. I'll just mark this as expired now as all this nonsense is just ridiculous, and highly irritating.
In fairness you did say you were looking for stools (you never stated what type), then said you found these in B&Q and the black looked fantastic, so I was just trying to help you. At the end of the day they are disposable items so not worth getting too excited about, if you have had yours 18mths then you know 2 yrs is about max and renew.
Precisely, personal choice...and for me these are a deal as they are different stools to those you have and am changing after 18 months. By all means if you are aware of the same item elsewhere at a cheaper price then great, but you can't compare something that is a different item altogether. It's like saying oh this £5 folding stool from argos is just as good as those you have, doesn't make sense does it. You say cheap as chips, ive literally paid and extra tenner :) and as i've had the stools you have (i could take some pics to show the damage to the chrome and seats to show they aren't great quality) i think i'm entitled to share a deal i feel is good for what seems a good quality, and fitting with my decor stool. Maybe next time just vote cold, or even better share your own deal (horror)
It’s personal choice, the rounded edges get ripped, I prefer the stitched ones, as for colour if you want black then those look great but the base will take a kicking so it can look scruffy and scratched over time, these are my seats, enough padding for me and the stitching looks nice. As you are well aware these are cheap as chips so get changed every couple of years anyway (y)
They are chrome, not black my good man and a different stool altogether. B&Q have these exact same one's in, £40 for a pair (which are the one's i had previously). Inferior in quality, stitching is visible and becomes loose over time and the padding of the seat is far less. So i would consider paying an extra £10 - £12 a deal, and easier to return if something does happen to go wrong. Deal imo
