But it's also worth mentioning if this is the cheapest price for it (y)

Iceman2015

This is not what I consider a deal. £20 to £25 would make a deal worth mentioning.

Exactly and precisely correction of what is really a now infamous internet myth. Nintendo to be fair never ever used the words "limited edition". That just came from potential consumers. Even "limited edition" gets used loosely in video game manufacturing. As far as I am concerned unless there is some sort of clearly engraved LE status (i.e. no. 345 of 1,000,000) on an item or printed on packaging, or some sort of COA is included (Certificate of Authenticity) stating the number run, then its not anything like a limited edition. I have said this before, but I own the original 1st run of Mario Kart 7 trophies which were truly limited edition (or so I thought), until Nintendo many years later decided to do a 2nd production run and release more! Lets just say I was not to pleased at that. Even Limited Edition lacks value/investment guarantee at times.

That's just the sold units, I wonder how many were printed and sitting in stock rooms across the country. Probably 20 billion copies, enough for two copies for each person alive and one extra for the family dog.... (:I

Absolutely, Mario Galaxy is probably the best Mario game out there and in comparison to 3D they are worlds apart.

Mine is still sealed. I want it to become an antique.... Not a chance (lol) (lol)

A few of my friends have it, and the consensus is that it feels quite dated. Whilst the games themselves are decent, we’re touching our 40’s so it was more of a nostalgia trip than anything else-which is fine, because you then accept it for what it is-a port. I personally, if it were my son, would spend the extra and get Mario Odyssey (if it’s that sort of thing you’re after), and *if* he gets the bug, then maybe, in time, introduce him to some historical Mario. 3D World I lost a little interest in-I bought it mainly to try Bowsers Fury-which was quite easy, but quite enjoyable too-I don’t regret the purchase at all, but I was ready to start BOTW, so will revisit when I (finally!) complete that (well, get to a satisfactory level of completeness (:I ).

Has anyone managed to work out which other Switch games this code works with? It was working with Paper Mario yesterday, so I’m guessing it must be working with a few others too?

Oh right ok makes sense

Sometimes eShop sales have first party titles for £33.29 (33% is the usual maximum discount for the big first party games), if you're okay with buying second hand then CeX is a good option. Not for being cheaper than elsewhere but if your child doesn't like a game you can return it within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund. The only catch is it will be a store credit voucher but you can still use that to purchase a different game

andrewworrall1

Even Wii consoles have risen in value. CeX charges £45 and I paid £25 a few years ago!

OOSeven_

Its not "a" game and i would be amazed if the worst purchased someone has made. Yes the ports arent amazing but the games themselves are still superb in parts.

OOSeven_

Nothing nintendo does gets cheap. Its why pepple buy their stuff as it holds value really well. Even after a year most games will be worth so close to rrp on the 2nd hand market you can look at it as a cheap rental if kids dont like the game.

Messaged them earlier and they send it out for tomorrow.

If you ordered New Pokemon Snap and didn't receive the game get in touch with the seller ASAP

Sushi

I have both and my full fat one hardly ever gets used. The lite is far more comfortable for handheld play.

jacobsimms

Just recieved mine. Came with a poster and stickers for Snap, but no game :(

OllieFTH

I used to think that, however I actually sold my OG switch because I wasn’t using it. I didn’t like it portable because I found it uncomfortable to use over longer periods. 6 months later bought the lite. I now use the switch much more than I used to. I have my PS5 for big screen gaming and use my switch entirely for portable. It’s more comfortable, lighter and has a proper D pad. If you only want it for portable play it’s the better choice IMO.

These games were fun to play again, even if they are just emulations on the Switch. Nintendo would do well to do a total re-make of Mario 64, better graphics, more levels, bigger levels and a usable Yoshi. Bowsers Fury is a nice example of how good a Mario 64 re-make could be on the Switch.

Vendetta

What are your opinions on remastered games

noahsdad

I was obviously working on the assumption if one had a PC or decent laptop already. I'm not against PC emulation and console ROM's, far from it, it has its place and justification in lots of circumstances.

Mantis

Nope. Mario 64 was decompiled and ported natively to PC. It's 60 frames per second, has high-resolution texture mods and much much more. Heck, someone even made a multiplayer mod with it. By leaps and bounds it is the best way to play the game. I wouldn't be surprised if someone's ported it to Switch. (If they had they wouldn't say it because Nintendo absolutely loves lawsuits.)

MoneyShaver

I’d hardly call playing it on the PC the cheapest way… Also they are referring to the texture packs that actually make Mario 64 a remastered 4K game (y)
