What a bitter comment, you must be fun at parties.

Going to the gym or working out anywhere is massively beneficial and whey protein like this product is proven to aid muscle synthesis and repair after a workout. So long as you don't get stupid with quantities and watch your intake of other foods, like you should anyway, there is very little in the way of negative health effects. This is just a convenient way of getting enough protein as your protein requirements go up when weight lifting regularly.

Re the cancer comment, the research that lead to this headline a while back was carried out on mice implanted with tumours. It's a bit of a stretch and even then the effects noted were far lesser than many other everyday substances we inhale and ingest or even habits we have. Reduced and sedentary activity, however, has been proven to reduce lifespan by many years and create a whole host of health problems.
YouTalkinToMe20th Nov

Why is that?

last three times I have ordered the bloody thing just doesn't mix properly and also one of their batches gave me severe stomach cramps. Ordering from them again for whey? No whey don;'t do it they also are not as cheap as they used to be many many years ago!

stupid company much better ones out there that offer better products.

Why is that?

I bought 2.5kg of banana whey and it is so week flavoured luckily enough I've got some flav drops otherwise it would be unusable, when I contacted them they couldn't care less so its generally mutant whey for me now which with a quick google can get for cheaper than myproteins rrp and I reckon its better quality
candyman866 h, 18 m ago

Any1 know any quality whey derived from grass fed pasture raised cattle?

Put in you registration number on the site and see what it recommends. I …Put in you registration number on the site and see what it recommends. I am not sure of the different to be honest

Mineral oil has got wildly differing (sized) compounts within it which makes for inconsistent performance (and unpredictable shear strength etc) and a shorter useful lifespan. Synthetic is refined far further, and it's made to an exact spec with consistent chain lengths that performs much more consistently and for much longer. Semi-synthetic is a mix of the two.

Any high performance engine, particularly turbo charged ones of either fuel, really do benefit from fully synth. Mineral oil would be OK for your lawn mower I suppose.

If you've got a regular non high performance non turbocharged engine then many manufacturers will know you can get away with semi-synthetic- but if it's your car, do you want to get away with the minimum possible, or do you want to give the engine the best protection you can (particularly when Mobil 1 fully synth is £23 from Costco permanently, and if you wait for the inetivable Halfords sales you can pick up GM spec fully synth for a tenner for 5L once or twice a year)?
justonemore23 h, 55 m ago

Would it be more beneficial to spend a little more and buy fully synthetic …Would it be more beneficial to spend a little more and buy fully synthetic oil rather than semi? Or is semi-synthetic better for some engines?

No. He has spent a huge amount of time coding this synth and has given this beta release away for free. Freebie section is for free things, whether you had to pay for it in the past or not is totally irrelevant and always has been. "Freebies are things you can get for free! Whether it's a free download or a free pair of socks"

Just noticed that there's a showing of a live concert from the Minimum Maximum 2004 tour tonight (Friday) on BBC4. Also a 'Krautrock' documentary, so should be a good nights viewing.

Also something I meant to post earlier, this album is a MUST for any Kraftwerk fan:

Synth Britannia was an excellent programme, particularly as it focused on Mute Records, which IMO was the greatest record label of all time. Daniel Miller (founder of Mute and featured on the show) is a legend!
These Kraftwerk re-releases are on Mute, which for me makes this an essential purchase (despite allready owning most of these CDs).
