Talisker 10 Year Old Malt Whisky - 70Cl - £30 Tesco

A whisky that needs little introduction and a pretty good price for the 10 year old. Next cheapest I can see at the moment is £37.84 at Amazon.

I buy this at Christmas from Tesco, always £25, my mum loves it

Decent price. Sometimes comes down to £25 on Amazon, but hasn't for a while. Probably cheapest at the moment!

Peaty and tasty

One of my faves this, i remember about 2 years ago it was being sold off cheap as at the time there were murmurs of it being discontinued in favour off their nas offerings, i remember snagging about 4 bottles at 19 quid each. Might be dearer now (as whisky is really fashionable these days) but im just glad its still around, heat from me <3 (y)

Two's not greedy. ;)

Talisker Skye Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl - Amazon Pantry - £17.95
Found 11th AugFound 11th Aug
Good Price!

I heard the no age Ines are where they have blended different aged whiskeys from different casks. So could be a mix of a 20, a 15, a 12, a 6 and a splash of 3 to brighten it up. Legally if they were to display the age it would have to be the youngest (minimum 3), so instead the blended whiskeys tend to have no age statement

Got a bottle of this sat I. The kitchen, far too smokey for my taste, seemed burnt but voted hot as this is a great price

Now expired, good find though.

It has to be at least 3 years old to be called scotch whisky, not just whisky.

Still going! Definitely national. I also grabbed another Talisker from my local!

I got two Juras at £17.75 each today in Croydon coop , Surrey

Co-op in London SE23 has a small selection and most single malts are reduced. I saw Glenmorangie 10 for £24, plus some others I forget!

Do u know what stores in Ayrshire as not in the two coops in Ayr at that price cheers

So according to the above seems national.. but gotta get lucky!

Yes I should have said it doesn't drop below £29 that often. It tends to hover around £29-£31 n Amazon and £30 in Supermarkets.

Its under £30 right now. And on Prime so free delivery. Amazon

Talisker 10 currently £29 on Amazon.

Errr... The 10 year is £29 Prime

Not as good as the Talisker 10yr (which doesn't really drop below £30 more than a couple a times a year on Amazon), but in the "regularly £25 and under" price range this is one of the best whiskies imo.

Talisker miniature whisky gift set (3x 5cl) £6.55 Tesco Express Downley, High Wycombe
LocalLocalFound 4th JunFound 4th Jun
Nice little fathers day add-on maybe? Found these in my tesco express, Downley, High Wycombe. I had 2 and there were about 8 still on the shelf. Marked as Reduced to Clear.

Whisky Gift Sets can sometimes have the most outrageous mark up of any product sold in any form of shop in this country, but £6.55 for 150ml of Talisker (although the good stuff is the 10yr and you only have 50ml of that) seems like a pretty solid "cheapo token gift" for someone on their Bday or Father's Day. It works out to around £30.50 for 700ml, which is the standard price of a bottle of Talisker 10yr and around £2-£5 cheaper than the "non-sale" overpriced pricepoints of the Skye and Storm.

£6.55 for 15cl of whisky doesn't sound like a deal to me

Wow...hope this is national....

I got these for £3.38 last week in West Bromwich superstore

Talisker Storm Single Malt Whisky - £30 @ Tesco
Found 20th MarFound 20th Mar
Down from £40. Saw this in Waitrose for £32 which I thought was a pretty good offer anyway, so this seems like a decent price for a tasty, super smokey whisky!

Not unusual for this to be £30. Glad I tried it at that price but it's not one I intend to buy again. I'll still vote hot though

I can't remember how many times I've stopped drinking, I blame the drink.

Nice tipple. Good find.

I must have had too much to drink I read that as single malt crotch

Same price in Waitrose they seemed to have almost all there whiskey on offer

While your argument may apply to some offerings it certainly does not apply to all. Most NAS whisky will be a lot older than 3 years and even premium age statement whiskies have colouring added. You could miss out on some good whisky and good whisky deals by covering all NAS whisky with same blanket. Good example. A few weeks ago I posted a deal for Glenmorangie A Mid winter's night dram (I am actually not a fan of Glenmorangie standard age statement offering) but that NAS was fabulous whisky. I suggest you watch the below and maybe a few more of his videos You tube video buying whisky

iirc this is just a new aged whisky. Charging 10 year old single malt money

Colouring is used in nearly all mass produced whisky. Plenty of 15+ year old whiskies still use artificial colouring.

Bought this at the distillery earlier this year after trying 3. It was the best for my taste. I didn't thinks I paid over £60 for it though. Good price if it is to your taste especially as it takes a fairvsplsxh of the H2O! Hot from me.

I wouldn't get too hung up on a whisky being NAS. There are often older whiskies in NAS blends. Johnny Walker Blue Label doesn't have an age statement, but some of the whisky in that is 60 years old.

Aberlour A'bunadh is NAS and is one of my all time favourites.

I guess it does have a certain finish but I like it. Oban is famous for its finish but I am not fond of its aftertaste. Horses for courses and all that.

Came for that comment. Was not disappointed (embarrassed)

I don’t dislike NAS whiskies on any kind of principle (Ardbeg’s young NASs are exponentially better than their AS ones), I just don’t rate Talisker’s. Given the recent whisky boom I can’t blame distilleries for wanting a low cost, quick turnaround product, I just don’t think they did a great job. Edit: above refers only to the Storm and Skye, not tried the 57.

I was the guy who first persuaded my [big] company that we could sell a single malt without chill filtering it first as in - first company to do it (I got excellent advice from the crew) many were the protests - so we added the facts to the label, that it might appear cloudy at certain temperatures etc we did it - we were the first - big success

I understand why there are some who dislike no age statement (NAS) whisky, but if the product ends up the same then what's the big deal? Certainly there are some whiskys which have declined in quality, but if they can manage to modernise ageing and vintage blending methods to make a great dram then I'll happily drink it. Otherwise the sheer demand on the market and limitation of barrels will increase prices. As far as this Talisker goes, I ordered my storm this morning :D. Not the cheapest it's been, but the weather is getting cold and I need some peat. Seems to get equally good reviews as the 10 yo on lawhiskeysociety.com

Hot now this is a decent malt :D

I always take a swig out of the bottle beforehand to see what I'm drinking lol

Mr friend you are completely wasting money on this if you're mixing it. If I was your boss I might consider sacking you...... with immediate effect. :)

I'll have to add it to my list, I'm a fan of the 12 and seen someone post the 15 on offer recently, I haven't had the privilege of that yet either. Just bagged a dalmore 15 for £35, if your a member of ocado check your email then sent me a code for £15 off £50 shop, my entire shop was that 1 bottle :D

My fav when it's in the price bracket is Glenfiddich Rich Oak, love the flavours, it doesn't last long when I have it :D

just ordered one along with a bottle of Storm. Big fan of Talisker and this is a good price

Yeah the Morrisons one is Skye, not the 10.

Cold?...yes there are several versions of Talisker. People need to read the post before voting cold. This isn't skye or storm or some NAS mixer. This is a good price for the 10 year....that's why I posted it. @Gratitude.com

If only

If they're ripping you off so much then a wise person such as yourself would make a fortune in retail

Yeah, but that's 29yr old whisky now so of course it is more expensive ;)

Can't argue with that. It's common knowledge that prices are artificial, so that deals look attractive. Prices of whisky have become silly. 11 years ago I was paying £18 for 18yr old Glenfiddich. It's 3 to 4 times that now.

Since I don't believe that Amazon would deliberately sell at a loss, this just shows how much retailers screw you !

Talisker Distillers Edition whisky £29 Tesco instore
LocalLocalFound 28th Apr 2017Found 28th Apr 2017
On offer at Tesco Alfreton as stock clearance normally retails about £55 several on the shelf at £29.

This has been reduced to clear, across Tesco stores, for several weeks. It'll probably be hard to find, but is certainly worth a look.

On the shelf at £41:30 but thought I would chance it. Picked up the empty box, paid for it - £28:60! Please go to Customer Services to pick up the bottle. Twenty minutes later , no bottle Refund issued. Crushing disappointment. But it looks like it is nationwide if you can find it. I had some of this last night and it was jolly good. At £29 it's an absolute steal. If they have the actual bottle.

I have never see it in Tesco before but I bought one yesterday!

I bought one a few weeks ago. See link. http://www.hotukdeals.com/visit?m=27&q=2658928

Down from £35. Seems like a good price for a decent drink.

Picked one up in Tesco this morning at the same price. Was going to post the deal until I saw this. Not tried Skye before and I like medium peaty ones (Bowmore etc.). Based on other comments it might be a bit too light in that department but I'll keep an open mind.

Their 10 is good value at this price, so is the "storm", but not a fan of this stuff. Well discounted and good find, but barely worth it in real terms.

Not a very interesting drink to my taste, not exactly full of character or depth. The priceis reasonable but not great, especially being a NAS whisky. Save your money and buy another 10-12yr next time theyre on offer. The Aberlour 12 is a good bet atm, or wait on a talisker 10, laphroig 10 etc coming up at similar prices.

Didn't find this peaty at all, it's mostly matured in toasted oak casks so it's sweeter, with familiar Talisker smokiness, softer, not as complex and easier to drink than the 10yr old. Worth picking up at the price

This is really peaty, had a bottle sitting around since a few promotions ago. No way i can get through it.
