This one amongst a few others, http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=112956486152&category=11071&pm=1&ds=0&t=1560522365000&ver=0&cspheader=1 It looks like a lot of LGs have Freesat on as well as Freeview... But you have to check...

Delicate_Sound

Which LG are you referring to ?

DingIs

Me too.... Just waiting for another discount voucher thingy to knock a few quid off then I'll pull the trigger, also I want the LG because of the Freesat, which not many have, since our TV signal is atrocious round here...

Yegnesh_S

Would rather put another£25 and get a LG with Bluetooth, chrome/Miracast...

Got this tv the other day, swapped it around as I had a older model! Great tv, really good price and the picture is amazing. Can’t go wrong for the price to be honest.

trouble is there are that many of the dam things its hard to figure out

chancooluk

Yep. Doesn't mean it's bad though. Their new 4K TV's are great value.

Good review on YouTube. Looks fantastic

another Vestel tv by looks of it as you can tell from the connections on rear.

it's not fake - it's fact. I have 4 x Panasonic Plasmas in my home still working perfectly - the 4k bandwagon is just a numbers game currently... There is more to a good picture than resolution ... If you can't see it - it's not my problem ;) The only technology currently I would advise people to buy is OLED... and yes it's expensive but anything else is a massive compromise if you want a good image. These £500 LCDs are vastly inferior to even 10 year old plasmas

JtotheHolmes

You work in AV yet tell everyone they bought the wrong tv for buying an LCD then spout some crazy biased rhetoric like a fake AV prophet that they didn't buy the tv that you'd get?

jayuk666

Actually in my local curry’s there are next to each other. Which was handy when I made comparisons recently for the Q9. But didn’t need to see what OLED was like as like I said. I had one. Money wasn’t as issue. Never said I cannot afford it. I said I cannot justify it. There’s a difference mate. My almost 2K a month disposable income is not mega money by any means but more than comfortable to buy more or less tech that I want. I haven’t fallen for any marketing. Like I said. I know the difference. I had BOTH. You are clearly just up your own. I’m enjoying both my Q9 and my older OLED thanks. Including the audio system that I got when saving £1000. Enjoy selling AV equipment sitting on your ignorant high horse earning a pittance lad (lol) (lol) (lol) 🏴??????🏴??????🏴??????

TeddyB

I find this on my 50in Hisense on Amazon Prime but perfect on Netflix. Don't know much about contrast & back lighting, though I have options to change it.

baldybouncer

It is not slightly better - it is light and day better! You have hit the nail on the head - you can't afford the OED... just because you can't afford an OLED doesn't make it worse! - I specify AV systems daily and every customer we have shown the difference OLED vs LCD has gone for the OLED... QLED is only LCD/LED technology - it is not in the same league as OLED! OLED is an emmisvie technology whereas LCD is not - LCD ( and QLED) Is cheap to make and the marketting ( which you have fallen for) makes the difference. :) enjoy the grey blacks and motion blur :) Just check out currys/pc world - do you see the fact the OLED displays are nowehere near the QLED.. this is so you cannot see the direct comparrison - because they wouldn't sell any if they where!

So going by the comments, this is a disposable 65' TV. Charming.

damadgeruk

WTF is not something I write though seems like the only response to this. We're destroying the planet and you think a poor quality 65" TV will be 'ok as a temporary telly'? You're right though, this will be a temporary telly.

damadgeruk

Vestel TVs will typically give a very watchable image, the problem is with reliability.

dastardchops

Looks exactly the same as my Poloroid one from Asda I got back in July for £500. I always went for Panasonic or LG in the past but haven't been disappointed so far. The picture is great and the user interface far faster and less annoying than the so called premium LG I've got in the kitchen.

MysterFrugal

Have the techwood 55 from ao a few years ago and picture is great, sound is good but can't be destorted watching a loud movie but day to day watching I can't fault it. Just something for potential buyers to be aware of. I would buy again but I'm sure many wouldn't due to sound.

Personally would rather put an extra £100 to the cost and get this hisense from richer sounds with a 6yr warranty.

I had one of these when ao had mistakenly priced it at 450. Interface buggy and slow. YouTube app for example always froze. I also had issues with my virgin TV box. If all you want is a massive screen then go for it but my advise is to spend a bit more and get something better. Or get a decent 55" for same price.

You are not going to find professional reviews on Techwood TVs. If you are on a budget then go for a better brand Philips, LG and Hisense have all had some very good deals on decent 65 inch sets this Black Friday week.

I've owned or of the tp vision manufatured 65 Philips sets which was 1080p, quality was as dreadful as any blaupunkt or other store brand junk, cheap is cheap vestel or whoever at these prices it's a cheap set simple as that.

Aretak

Vestel have only ever made 32" 1080p models for Philips (because nobody else wants to manufacture TVs at that size any more). Even their cheapest 4K sets are produced by TP Vision, who bought their TV division outright about five years ago. They're also of much higher quality than any of Vestel's sets around the same price, though of course you'd be looking at a 55" model at this price point, whereas Vestel can crank out a 65" model for the same price (because they cut corners on every other aspect).

wild84

They make some Philips tvs. Cheap is cheap in TVs in my experience but a big screen can still be a wow factor and you know not to expect miracles by he low price.

freakstyler

There’s cheap and then there’s Vestel cheap, I don’t think Vestel manufacture Philips TV’s. I didn’t cold vote this as it’s reasonably cheap for what it is but when you can add £100 for a Hisense which comes with a three year warranty and a far better build quality it makes the Techwood look far less of a bargain in my opinion. As two posters above have stated, they’ve been through multiple sets with issues and if you look on ebay it’s not hard to find sellers offloading returns, often with dozens of the same model for sale which is never a good sign. They’re cheap, yes but not built to last by a long shot (their service menu on time counter is measured in minutes believe it or not) I’d rather spend a little more, get something with more warranty that will last than run the risk of dealing with the likes of AO when it goes wrong after 12 months.

LeeCaine

This tv has been on here a few times. I made the mistake and purchased one. Changed it 3 times and in the end got my money back. Terrible picture and sound. Bleeding, clouding and vertical lines. Stay clear.
