They will be doing buy one get one for £6 from 22nd for Black Friday so the £10 gift card for £5 would come in handy for that.

No I was just hoping. Would love the sound effects one, cheaper

kwg

Ah ok. I thought I missed out on a mega deal!

Hapzy

I assumed (hoped) before clicking the ones with sound was now also reduced but it was just a repost. Still is with the title change the big bear also already posted. Hoping sound ones will reduce in price 🤞

Hapzy

This is a repost of a deal already so I assumed it was now the sound effects ones at reduced price. Nope just another repost of a deal 3 days ago I’ve seen for 3rd time (skeptical)

kwg

I know that’s why I don’t understand what Hapzy said...

I've recently bought 2 of these for my nephew. He loved the one in my house so much his 'cousin' has had to visit his house. On the plus side I know know he's worried about people not being polite and frankenstein ... hopefully more will come out eventually.

kps

A lot of the schools use these in class for those children that need/want to talk but don’t want to say anything to the teachers straight away. I really like these.

wanye

the stuff of nightmares

fivegoldstars

It's not intended to be funny. These were stocked in Poundworld before it went bust.

drnkbeer

I mean surely it'd be more sensible to teach the children to talk to their parents about their worries? Rather than the message of "eat your feelings" I mean obesity is already at epidemic levels.

Stocking filler... for big stockings... hmmm, stockings!

IanC7

My girlfriend bought I had to buy my girlfriend a sloth one. She now enjoys sticking fingers 1 and 3 down on the velcro so it's there sticking it's middle finger up at me with that creepy look on it's face.

paulbohs

I’m a bad picker, on our 3rd monkey. First developed hole in face, 2nd arms barely hanging on. 3rd times a charm. Not bad for a fiver if they last 6 months

pricklychin

Agreed check the stitching and general look over it before buying. I got a sloth last month and he’s lovely but I picked through a few before finding a good one without a gammy eye or extra hole (shock)

To be fair the licence fee was created when their was no other form of entertainment available. We now live in a time where we have 100's of channels & On Demand streaming of video content. Their is plenty of content available to watch now and it's about time the BBC was modernised and left to fend for itself on it's own two feet.Their is no real justification i can see for a licence fee to be needed in this day and age.

Thoughtful

Yes it is for people who can't afford it, and when it's back up by courts and bailiffs. It is an anachronism which has long past its time, and it should now be a voluntary fee not a compusory tax for owning a TV.

lf1983lf

£150.50 is rapacious? Get a grip (lol)

jordanc93

From what I've read the £100M investment hoard generates a return of around £2-£3 million a year meaning it would take just over 30 years to make another £100M which is not worth it to me. They should be spending it now the amount of money they receive every year from the appeal is more than enough without having to hold back money to invest.

jordanc93

I'm sure it was either Children in Need or Comic Relief that were found to be using donated money to invest in other companies, some were questionable e.g. tobacco companies. People give money exepecting it to be used for a good cause not to fund investments in other compnaies. I avoid donating to big charities now prefer to give money to local causes where i can see the money being used properly.
