Thermocafe is the budget range, will keep your drink warm on the trip to the conservatory, but not for much longer.

sheepdognwolf

this is a good deal have some heat . My question is can we post deals like this now that are available in supermarkets - i tried to post something similar the other day and it was rejected on the grounds of "Due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the UK and the governments advice to stay at home, we do not want to encourage people to make unnecessary trips." If we can i will get posting as soon as i see some more deals like this

taker

Good deal but I wonder why they’re on sale... hmmm...

Perfect for my long commute to the conservatory every day!

Large versions of these currently going for roughly the same price as the smaller one, in certain colours.
Glesgabear

This is definitely only £10 in Tesco, I bought one about 10 days ago and they still had stock when I was in yesterday.

hedgyhog

For soups and stews I just use the normal version. The 1.2 litre version is £19.99 on Amazon: For soups and stews I use the normal version (1.2 litres) which can be had in various colours on Amazon for £19.99: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B075VD6HMG/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1&th=1 I guess some (chunky) foods will not fit in that version. I don't really like using the cups or "bowls" that come on flasks though.

If you're nearer a morrisons, you can get an older style Thermocafe food flask for £4.50 at the moment. HUKD have taken my thread down about it, but may be helpful for those who have Morrisons nearby rather than a Tesco, and are keyworkers for who a flask is an essential item. They've been spotted at more than one morrisons nationwide.

r_macus

I picked mine up and give it the trail run. Well made and good mug. But I can see down the line there is a lot of parts and assembly in the lid. This might be a problem down the line like what happened to my Camelbak forge. My best travel mug so far after tring lots is the Contigo byron from tesco.

myr4

A steal at £10 for the food flask. I have three of these. My children take hot lunches to school in them. Can't recommend enough.

lasuil

Is the warranty direct with Thermos rather than Tesco?

lasuil

Voted hot but, I do not like drinking tea out of metal mug. It changes taste for me.

jeczap

I think I paid £3 I use it mostly without the lid around the house or at work. Put the lid on if in the car, but it is an aggravation. I think it's not such a problem if the drink is hot (plastic expansion), but I don't like really hot drinks

hooray.henry

Got 2 work fine. Great in the car

Mrs.Z

In the reviews other people mentioned this same problem, sounds a right agg

jeczap

I've got one and it's OK, except the sliding bit the covers the drink hole is sometimes loose and will close on its own. Need to hold a finger on it to keep it open for drinking (hope that makes sense!) A travel mug is good yo have, but this one is worth no more than £3 Voted hot

Barcode, not sticker, so probably national. Hot food for lunch? If so, These can be pretty handy. There's a spoon that sticks in the lid, so stews and soups are ideal in this.

Also in Blackpool! Hubby & I have microwaves at work so don’t need them, but I picked up 3, one each for my kids. They are so excited over being able to take my homemade soups to school now! Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to get them, I’m going to need to make even more soup than I do currently (lol)

These cups are absolutely amazing and do exactly what they say they will do. I have purchased so many of these insulated cups but they were always useless. Tea can be put in these cups and it will still be reasonable warm 8 hours later. Buy these and you won’t be disappointed. Tipsy Nurse. When I drive around the hospital looking for a parking space, or past a school I go up to 20 mph, in a built up area 30mph. When I go to the pub I order a pint of beer. When I drive to London the signs say so many miles to go and the car does do many miles per gallon. Metrification was in a part a con, as a way to put the prices up on everything. If someone described a person as 5ft tall, or 6ft tall or 6ft 8" you can immediately relate to how big they are. Like wise you have a cup of tea or a mug of tea, and most people understand the size, just like a pint of beer.

jurassic_park

Excellent just ordered thanks.

deleted249798

Literally no-one cares, metric has been taught at school since the 1970s. Kids nowadays thankfully don't even learn imperial units because they are useless. The whole "I can't possibly visualise 500ml, please convert it into pints for me" is very tedious. Especially when mugs are 250ml, and you don't drink tea out of pint glasses.

109place

Can confirm I also saw these in Asda last week. The 1L version was also reduced to £9

The thermocafe range are not a patch on the king ones, thermocafe keeps soul hot for about 3 hours, the king ones are about 8! I work outdoors all winter so I have done lots of research! (y)

Nope. These are bigger and a different shape.

These are great. I once used this to bring cooked burgers to the park. I thought they would be horrible after they were cooked, cut in half and put in the food flask It kept them really hot and they tasted really good even after an hour in it.

Top end flask, worth the money, I have about four or five of them in various colours. Some have been battered to hell and dented, dropped onto concrete from 6 feet. Still work as good as they day they were made, one of them has been in use constantly for 5 days a week, 46 weeks of the year for several years now. On a somewhat related note, the best flask cleaner I have ever used is thermoclean powder. Comes in sachets. £1.50 a sachet off ebay give or take, so not cheap. But if you use one every 6 months it'll return the inside to like new. Nothing has come close to how good that stuff is.

PaulTheo

I’ve had one of these for a few years. It’s the best flask I have ever had. It keeps water hot for hours no problem.
