Ah sorry guys I didn't know the RRP for this was £19.99, I saw the price slash and assumed it was a deal like the other smaller flask in the same range. But, for those too lazy or busy to venture out to John Lewis, paying just 1p more for that sim card and you get free delivery to your door! :D

A bit like my ... Oh, on second thoughts, better not...!

Yowser, 50 year guarantee!

What’s the deal here? John Lewis and Ryman both have it at exactly this price

The Thermos King really is the King. That Stanley is like maybe a Viscount, at best an Earl.

I can't see £8. It appears £11.

Well BBC Sport shows all the commercial logos

I have a cunning plan. I'll cover it in gaffer tape, and then it won't even know it's meant to contain Heinz tomato soup. (ninja) Plus, I'll then be able to use it in vision on BBC shows. Imagine how vexing it would be to have one's tub of stew confiscated because it displays a brand. ;(

500ml size, I believe. The Heinz Tomato soup flask at Argos is only £4.something and is 650ml size. The Heinz food flask works fine as long as you don't tell it you're filling it with something other than Heinz tomato soup.

have this. its pretty good

I bet that must be the ones branded ThermoCafe by Thermos, which is the low end products from Thermos. The difference quite significant. I have exactly this flask, accidently lost one and then bought a same one about a month ago for about £20! Simple the best! Been using a couple of other brands in the past few years including some "high rated" ones from Amazon, Thermos simply wins them all! Heat!!!

I found them to be almost 60% gooder

I agree. Just bought a 500ml thermos vacuum flask today from TK Max for £6.99, I can’t imagine these are twice as better

Like it being a Vacuum flask,as there's so much junk out there. 470 ml a bit low in capacity for me though.

Best one and the cheapest. Once a week or two About 25-50ml of cheap tesco/lidl/aldi bleach, top up with boiling water, leave it until stain is gone (1-2h) Wash in boiling water. Leave it overnight to dry. Enjoy your shiny, smell free thermos for a long while.

Thermos thermocafe defeating equivalent Stanley and Zojirushi flasks in a heat retention test Thermos ultimate > King > Thermocafe > whatever

zojirushi > all

There are lots of good ways to deep clean a flask, denture tablets, some use dishwasher tablets, but the best stuff I have ever used to get off tea stains is a sachet of something called Thermoclean. It's not as cheap as other methods, you'll probably pay £5 for only 4 sachets on ebay. But it's amazing stuff and you probably only need use one sachet every few months. Chuck in a sachet, hot water, shake it up a little and leave it overnight. Use a brush on it when the water has cooled if you have any residual left over, but most of the time it just dissolves it all off.

This is an amazing flask. If you need one or thinking of a flask, buy it. Make a brew in this, still be hot after 12 hours. Never had any leak problem with it. Only problem is that it can be hard to clean.

thermos food flask

I have the bigger version to this. After pre heating with boiling water, my food is kept warm for 6-7 hours for when I have lunch. I would recommend. It’s better than having cold food anyway!

I've got one - I got it as a present but I think it was about £20 so whilst this isn't a massive saving I still think it's a decent price. The flask itself is brilliant, keeps things hot for ages, my son regularly takes left overs in it for his lunch at school.

Thanks - I think I’ll treat myself in that case (embarrassed)

Yes, I have one and I love it. No idea why it's cold. Mine was about twenty quid so £14.99 sounds like a good deal to me.

True, and if you really need one now, I guess it's the best price out there.

yeah this is ridiculously overpriced. I'm holding out for when they drop to £10. i'm sure they will by summer time. they will be very unseasonal by then

£20.99 from them at the moment though

yeah been on the look out for past couple of months and this is the cheapest it's been

Lakeland also do them at 12 every few months. Over 17 quid is way too much (sorry Op).
