A Room with a View
Well, whatEVER you think of the book (a matter of personal taste TBF) It's FREE, and it's a KINDLE, so it's just GOTTA be hot...to somebody so thanks fer posting
If it’s heartbreaking then I don’t want anything to do with it. There’s enough stress in my life without adding this.
Thanks for the share
I have to admit the sequel A View to a Kill was more action packed and exciting.
Well that's a mixed bag of reviews.

I had a 12hr delay years ago to cuba and all the rude staff hid away and when we found them we was offered a £7 food voucher and only one per person it was like getting blood out of a stone also threatened to call police as 200 wanted answers but we was all fobbed off terrible service and have never used them again. Also the discount is a big con book it yourself and save ££££££

Sounds like an amazing story.I for one would like to hear more.

As much as I’d love to give them a public shaming (and I really would), I just don’t think I have it in me to go through it all. Let’s just say that during the lead up to the wedding I’d invented 17 new swear words all in the name of Thomas Crap.

Never dealt with such utter incompetence before. Never ending excuses, blame shifting within their own departments, poor communication and evaporating customer service the moment you hand over the deposit. I nearly ended up with a very expensive party and a fake/illegal wedding through their sheer incompetence. It cost them £3k in compensation (which I feel they got off lightly).Avoid.

Thomas Wolfe: The Complete Works
Quite spectacular prose, an American writing beyond the capabilities of a quintessential Englishman in all his guises.
Edited by: "Dilithium" 16th Feb
Sadly a rather forgotten titan of literature who was an influence on many after him and he exceeded the ability of prose quality of many better known writers if you like literature grab this ...many thanks heat left
Think I prefer Tom Wolfe.
More recent and sorry, a better writer (he thinks so too !)

Unfortunately not every reduced item gets a yellow label. I have found this many a time. So as habit i dont just look for labels now with yellow I check every one as have missed a few items at bargain prices because I used to only look for yellow labels.
Thought that, maybe should have been £13.25 and the labeler has missed the 1 at the start.

Checked price at customer service desk before I bought 4 to add to collection
Must be a pricing error, wholesale price for these is over £5 +vat.
Just picked up x2 of these in Sunbury for this price
2 self on the shelf.

What do people think of Seattle as a holiday location?

Doesn't look too bad although a week there may be a bit much, maybe go for 10 days considering you can get a flight from Seattle to San Fran/LA/Las Vegas for ~£90 return (£50 one way), you could hit a few places in one go. Seattle fly to San Fran (2hrs), San Fran fly to Los Angeles, Los Angeles drive to Las Vegas (4 hrs)...
kpmatthews11 h, 39 m ago

do thomas cook ever do this from london airports?

The answer is almost definitely no...

Simply because the airline is focusing all these new flights to the USA from Manchester and avoiding the London blood bath market, where Manchester only has a few other flights to America.

By flying from Manchester they avoid having to compete with Norwegian, WOW Air and Primera Air, which are all new low-cost airline entrants on the London to USA market, in the last few years. The traditional carriers are also adjusting their prices to compete with these airlines, so prices are rock bottom and making a profit in the long run is questionable.

These £300 flights by Thomas Cook, are only a limited number and spread across numerous flights, so they can fill the rest of the seats on the flight with more expensive tickets, and it gets them headlines in the travel press for having fares this cheap and makes it known they now operate this route.

What dates? as mine came up to £1,199

Sorry, should have been clear that this was including two kids, who don't pay as much in tax apparently.
I did this trip last year, cannot fault Thomas Cook and their professional staff, albeit I did upgrade. SF is an amazing visit but be warned, do your homework for accommodation - a better exchange rate right now but it is so expensive, eating out can be a lot of dollars. I found the big department store Macys was great for lunch times. So easy to get around and so much to see, the local bus trips are fun with great characters and the city , once you get your bearings , is very walkable - but those hills. take a good pair of shoes.
Woohoo thanks! Booked last night - £320 return to San Fran for 3 weeks! Pacific Coast road trip here we come!
Hi Ed. I think it's because I want to go for longer than two weeks. Thanks
Manchester still available to LAX, 14th to 21st. As of time of writing this message. Personally in not bothering, can get to Oz or NZ for a tad more.

There's a lot for the kids in Thomas Land, including several performances of music/acting and a lot of fake snow being sprayed about to make it feel Christmassy. The parade and fireworks at 5.30pm or so are worth hanging about for too.. Just wrap up warm as the cold can get to you after a few hours!Do note that for this event only Thomas Land and the Zoo are open, along with the central route through the park - the rest of the park is closed. We still filled a whole day though, and none of the ride queues were more than a few minutes long.PS Try the mulled wine, it's lovely!

You don't have to be within reasonable distance if you drive, we're 3 hours away & still went. Worst part was the 2+ hours it took to get out if the car park that put me off ever going back!

It's the same getting out of any other place with thousands of cars, you won't ever go anywhere if you feel like that. Besides, the car parks are changing soon and the traffic situation will be very much improved for next year so give it another go.
