I pretty much designed our extension around my projector. The issue is that the house is south facing and we have integrated blinds, and no curtains meaning the picture isn't hugely visible for long periods through the brighter months. That's why I'm moving back to TV

We have different size TV's in all the rooms in our house and I have just bought an Epson EH-TW5700 3LCD for my mancave to project a 100" picture. As you said the cost of TV's seems extortionate, I even looked at some 86" one's but settled for a 1080P projector as it had android tv built into it.

Not really, you don’t always want your TV to be massive. I'm happy with my 55” TV for watching TV, but for watching movies I use my projector and 120” screen sitting at about four meters away. It’s incredibly immersive and is as close to going to a cinema as you can get. I’m not sure I’d want a 120” TV in my living room to watch all the time, plus of course you can’t actually buy a 120” TV in this country as far as I’m aware (83”-100”) seems to be the maximum.

Having been a projector advocate for 20+ years the cost of massive TVs these days leaves projectors in a domestic setting seem like a poor choice

Not hdmi 2.1 is that a problem.

I concur with ChuckIt - indestructable, even for our German Shephard. A bit annoying if you lose one though as they are expensive.

The B&M ones are like crack to our border collie. Seems to last reasonably well. Scrooby Doo brand. Will need to get some Chuck Ultras to try.

B&M have a squeaky ball for £1.95 Which are brilliant, my GSD hasn't managed to destroy one yet apart from the squeak, and he loves it.

My golden retriever munches these up, tennis balls survive.
