I always choose local currency to get the better exchange rate.

I have received mine 💳 today 8)

Can usually avoided by paying in local currency (not sterling).

Very good deal. This card really works.

I have this credit card and it’s great! I travel abroad regularly and I prefer to use cash. It’s a phenomenal credit card for cash withdrawals and tends to beat Halifax Clarity (which I also own) rates for cash withdrawals as Halifax charges interest on cash withdrawals! Would recommend

Premium Economy London to Australia for £1195 return on certain dates in Oct/Nov/Dec - with China Airlines and booked through Travel Pack
Found 11 h, 30 m agoFound 11 h, 30 m ago
If you are looking to get to Australia for the cheapest possible price in economy this deal will not be for you, BUT if you are looking for a bit of extra space and comfort, while … Read more

The flight is around 12.5-13 hours on the London to Taipei sector, with 4 hour stopover and around 8 hours on the Taipei to Sydney sector... Economy seats are 32 inch seat pitch and 18 inches wide. BA by comparison is around a 30 inch seat pitch and 17-17.5 inch wide seats, but might be slight variations depending on aircraft type. (Don't ask me why its quoted in inches.) Not sure how cheap China Airlines economy flights are. With China Airlines, once you have received your e-ticket from Travel Pack, you can go to the airlines website and immediately choose your seats for free, and allows you to view all flights, choose meal options if have a dietary requirement and add frequent flyer details if a member of a SkyTeam airline program. (Well this is the case for Premium Economy, so guess the same for Economy too?!)

You are correct, there are 31 seats! I will immediately update the post. Below is an image of the seating plan of Premium Economy in blue and a link to China Airlines website with full details of the aircrafts seating plan. China Airlines - A350-900 Seat Map. The seats in Premium Economy/Deluxe Budget/Oxymoron class, are a hard back shell seat, which means the seats in front do not recline into your space. You slide the seat forward and it will recline. The seats are 20 inches wide, 39 inch pitch and offer 129 degree recline.

Same. It sucks.

How long is the flight? My only issue with premium economy is that at 6'4", it's just like economy for people of average height

I've travelled this exact route with China Airlines. They are far better than any other Chinese airline, plenty of good food, flight attendants had great English and plenty of British/American things on the IFE. If i was off to OZ again i wouldn't hessitate to book this

Stayed here last year on similar deal, nice place, restaurant service was very slow if that bothers you & yes in the middle of no where.

Heat added for a good deal. We did this same deal the last time it was on and for the money you cant really go wrong. To be fair, the room will be in a modern annex rather than the lovely house in the photos and ours was a bit more "basic" than the one shown here, but it was comfortable with nice surroundings, the 3 course evening meal was very good (lots of choices), the breakfast was excellent, and you can't argue with free drinks! We didn't know the area so went to Stourport-on-Severn for a look round on the day we arrived and to be honest it's a fairly lacklustre town, though it may be a bit more energised in the summer when the boat basin amusements are in full swing. The next day on the way home we went via Bewdley and that's a lovely place and well worth an hour or two to look around.

Is this a hotel in the middle of nowhere? What is there to do or see outside?

Cold. Probably get your luggage stolen at Liverpool.

Anyone purchasing this deal has to try this recommendation if they like cocktails: The best cocktails I have ever had in my life are at Boadas Cocteleria at La Rambla. The bar looks amazing and is preserved in 1930's decor but the cocktails are the best i've ever had and watching them make the cocktails would be comparable to watching Van Gogh paint Starry Night. I can't sing this bars praises enough!

Barcelona is a lovely city and i didn't find it any more expensive than our cities, Manchester for instance cost me £17 for a vodka and coke plus a bottle of cider, it all depends where you drink i guess but to me the prices there were acceptable and they gave generous portions of alcohol, food wasn't bad either ;) and maybe im just blind but i never saw a prostitute not that i was looking ofcourse

I agree don't stay on la rambla but we were near the magic fountains and that end of town was fine, no trouble at all. You can pay €6 to €8 for a pint on la rambla but where we were (only 20 mins walk away/5 minutes on the metro) it was around €3 to €4. If you want to drink on the cheap our hotel was right next to a supermarket and the wine prices were unbelievable - most wines including cava between €1 to €3 a bottle!

If you're going with kids a good place to go for a drink is the hidden fairy bar (el bosc de les fades) - it's near the bottom of la rambla on the left down a side street, google it and have a look, really cool place (y) Also a cheap day / half day out is Cosmo Caixa (science museum) - we were €4 to get in and kids under a certain age (10 I think) get in free - lots of interactive hands-on stuff to keep kids entertained :)

Am.wondering if I can get time off to go visit my family in Daytona. Mum says it's been a v quiet hurricane season this year. Weather seen a bit stormy, but nowhere near as bad a last year.

Third week of June. Nipped over for 1 week, covered around 2000 miles, then flew back. Not a theme park in sight as I’d done them 7 months earlier. Paid £296 and £239 for my last two flights before luggage/seat upgrades. The icing on the cake for the last one was that we got compensation for the flight delay on our outward journey. Flights ended up being free :)

Thats just bad parenting, you should know that the sugar count in coco pops is unhealthy. Leave them green bananas, should last them the week without going bad

These flights are cheap for a very good reason... it's during the peak of hurricane season.

I was there last September and landed the day before Irma. America is well built and can handle these types of disasters, that said it is a scary experience!

Whatever, you petty little man. I'm trying to help folk with some info and you're you being a jerk, so we can call this conversation over now as you have nothing positive to add to the discussion.

He didn't say everyone make note you'll have to pay it, it was meant in the way of if you'd do this and take a car just remember to look into the parking costs. Stop being so argumentative and appreciate that someone was trying to help with an additional consideration.

You did say it outright. Also: "The reason I mentioned it" "I'd taken a similar deal" "would have been cheaper if I'd booked another hotel that included parking" It's all about your personal decision to take a car with you. It's not a cost that everybody should "remember to factor in".

I was implying no such thing. You may have taken it that way, but that's your problem. If I'd said that you had to pay then I'd have said it outright. The phrase "remember to factor in" seems pretty self-explanatory. It would make no sense to pay extra if you're not bringing car with you. The reason why I mentioned it in the first place was that I'd taken a similar deal a year or two ago and ended up paying over the odds for parking. I would have been cheaper if I'd booked another hotel that included parking, or at least pre-booked the parking to make it a bit cheaper

Your post stated: "Also remember to factor in £20 per day parking at NCP, if parking isn't included in this deal, which I don't think it is." The post is about paying Travelodge for two nights in a hotel. You're implying that it actually costs £40 more than the OP has suggested, when actually what you mean is that it will cost you £40 more because you will want to take a car.

It's really a good deal~ thx

I went a month ago and stayed in a different XO hotel and it was really nice (XO city centre is only £40 a night if you don't mind a room under ground without a window (lol) ). If you fly I'd recommend getting a transport card from Schiphol airport, at the IAmsterdam shop because all Amsterdam transport is card only, unless you have the correct change each time.

Brilliant city !!! The drugs are a bonus (party)

I go almost every month, usually by car. It’s still lovely and feels safer than London.

Don't believe everything you read, was there 2 weeks ago and never saw anything that had me concerned. Felt safer walking around the Dam than back in UK

Thanks. I had been looking at other mats similar but all were working out expensive. I'll give the laz-y spa ones a try first as I'd have to buy 2 packs from Halfords to get the right size.

I use those under mine. I've got the Monaco and I use ones all the way round the outside as extra insulation. Garden string holds them together. Makes a big difference

Now TV has Plex but I've never used it, already have Netflix, Prime Video, sometimes Now TV Cinema Pass and the occasional Rakuten TV Wuntu offer for movies but I don't watch films often. Google Home is amazing, I strongly recommend that you give it a try. I know someone who would never have bought Home on their own; when I bought it for them and showed them how to use it they loved it!

Poor thing is going in for an operation :S

To be honest the main reason I have the Roku is for the Plex app (streaming films from laptop to TV = win). But I also use Youtube, the Iplayer and something to access worldwide internet radio stations, which all work fine for me. I can knock up youtube playlists then play them on the TV through an 80s Technics amp and speakers. I should probably get into using my mobile more for all this but it was released in 2013 and I've always been a bit of a luddite. Maybe when I upgrade, if it ever dies (it seems indestructible, a first gen Moto G). The idea of actually IRL speaking to a google home device to play music freaks me out. You kids and your ways.

I don't use Flow, I like to use my own playlists and I've found every song I've needed on there (though I do tend to listen to popular music as opposed to more obscure songs). I use Google Home to listen to music (just asking Google to play a playlist or song is so easy) but I guess Roku is quite convenient too. I had Roku in the past but I wasn't impressed because, while most apps were available, they were all outdated and very poor quality (especially the Amazon Prime Video app).

Yeah I could use a bluetooth speaker and cast from the app on my phone but I'm old and set in my ways. At the business end of a bottle of red I like the "convenience" of having everything on the Roku remote. But the Spotify app was bad and the Deezer one is worse. I'm an old John Peel head with a collection of fairly obscure stuff on vinyl. When I try to search for what I like on Deezer then a lot of the time it just throws up more popular artists with similar names, and sometimes it doesn't have the artists I like at all, whereas Spotify did. The "flow" feature is gash too.
