Twinings Christmas tea loose 100g £3.75 + £3.95 delivery

Free delivery from over £35 Standard delivery £3.95

Before I posted the deal I checked and saw that deal As you can see even though with delivery his deal exceeded the in store price(£8.5) it was still well received. And after checking other website for a better price and couldn't find I figure it was a good deal to post. Again, as I said it's not the first deal I've seen here with delivery that exceeded the in store price and they still were well received. Don't think it's the reason :/

Love the tin.

I am offended by the title! Can’t believe Twinnings can get away with calling it this these days!!!!

I saw a lot of deals with delivery that exceeded the price of the product and still wasn't cold. Go figure.. :/ If you find in store for £7(and you won't) and you'll buy 2 you'll pay £14 while with Twinings(with the delivery) if you buy 2 you'll pay £11.45. Simple Maths. Can't think it's the delivery that put people off. Thank you for your response (y)

I'd have bought this if it weren't for the delivery that's putting people off I think...

I know I’m showing my age at 37 but at 10.30 at night with the kids fast asleep and a movie on there is not a lot better at that time than a good hot chocolate! I normally am a Cadbury’s drinking chocolate fan but for this price “I’ll give it a whirl” into milk of course!

Same price at my local Lidl for £2.50

Personally, the best value for money high quality hot chocolate drink I would recommend is simply heating 220ml of full fat milk in a pan to 80C and dropping in 33g (1/3 bar) of Green & Blacks 70% Dark Chocolate. Tastes great, chocolatey, and has far less sugar. If happy to spend more, use Hotel Chocolat's own Hot Chocolate (flakes), which is slightly better again, but twice as expensive.

Oh yes, I agree this is really nice! X

I am afraid all the off the shelf chai's taste terrible. They just don't know how to get the right blend of cinnamon, cardamoms, fennel etc. Youre better off experimenting with normal tea and adding ingredients to taste.

I’ve got a friend visiting soon who loves chai, these might be worth getting in. Thanks OP. ^_^

The green tea pods are rather good.

Never tried a Nespresso tea pod either but Chai is lovely so may give it a try. Thanks for posting OP.

Do you reckon the cold brew bags are exactly the same as tea infusions? I’ll still buy the cold brew ones at the reduced price and pour hot water on them. The flavours are good. (lol)

Why is there a cold brew technique? Don't get hooked into marketing hype

Thanks for the heads up, OP. Definitely going to be stocking up.

Missed this, I'll take a look in my local. My daughter is not allowed anymore sweet drinks, dentist orders and she likes these teas. £5 for a bottle set. She will be happy.

Someone wrote a comment on my post for the starter pack, saying you’re not meant to do that due to bacteria. Here is the link to the comment. :)

Yeah, I’ve tried the watermelon strawberry and mint one and the passionfruit, mango and blood orange one. I really liked them. I just keep the teabag in for long. I drink a lot of hot fruit infusions though so I’m used to the taste. I think some people expect it to taste like cordial. It’s only flavoured water. :D

Bought the blueberry, apple and blackcurrant, my 10yr old son downed a bottle of it, I liked it too 2 calories 100ml, makes a change to just water.

Mainly for convenience (can be dropped into any bottled water on the go). It is intended for people who can't wait for the hot brewed tea or infusion to cool down.

Why is there a cold brew technique then?

Thanks for the info. :) I wasn’t aware of that. I assumed the dried ingredients would be the same and didn’t know about the bacteria side of it.

Twinings Strong English Breakfast Tea Bags £2.50 @ Tesco
These 80 packs are reduced to clear in store. Still £5 online though

Thought 100 for £3.50 was good value in Sainsburys but this is better still heat added

Yeah the 160 packs of the strong are £8 at tesco!!

same, we usually stock up when it is £2.50. the standard English breakfast tea is a 100 pack though vs the Strong English being a 80 pack. there is a lot of different tea/coffee/hot chocolate products on clearance at the moment in Tesco though

Same price at Waitrose until 10 July. The non-strong 100s boxes are £2.50 too.

I saw these in the West Bromwich store last week, it didn't have the "Reduced to Clear" sticker on though. They also had the English Breakfast one too.
