Ok. But do you know the answer to my original question - is this suitable for someone backpacking through countries(not necessarily hiking)?

As requested - it was a joke.

Rotring 600 Mechanical Pencil £13.97 (Prime) / £18.46 (non Prime) at Amazon

I've got the Rotring 500 and it's great to write/draw with. What I like the most about it is that it's got some weight to it (because it's metal.)

This one by Rotring looks nice (also available in black) and I'm sure works great for sketching.

For serious technical drawing the Rotring 600 is the best value even at its normal price, so for under £20 this is a steal! My only gripe with the 600 is that the length of 'used' leads (when it won't extend any further) is relatively long, and it does have a tendency to break leads before that too. For writing I much prefer the Pilot Automac which is more friendly to hold, and it has an auto lead feed so you literally don't need to click the end every 30 seconds. For both of these I would recommend you buy the leads with the same respective brand - Ryman and other cheap ones often don't fit properly and they can break more. Back to the longer length spent leads, I put them in the Pilot Automac and get about 1/3 more writing out of them! That's why I have one of each. For sketching, I wouldn't recommend either of these. The 0.5mm lead is way too fine for expressive strokes and shading, I guess it may be okay for really light watercolour before painting. There are mechanical pencils with pencil lead style leads which are much better for sketching - I believe these are known as 'lead holders'. Lead holders go from 1.8mm and up, and allow for softer grade leads. Check out the three at the bottom of this comparison page.

Well, thanks guys! I have now purchased two mechanical pencils and I’m not entirely sure why???

Thinks it’s only unidays then, nothing on nuswebsite, shame going the way of wilko I think

I've only seen 1 comment confirming it, but seems like majority must be getting turned away, since no else has confirmed :/

Anyone managed to use I store, not talking about food warehouse just high street store

If everyone who has a problem reports it to consumer help line and it gets passed to trading standards - they might start honoring the promotion in all stores

I tried to report a similar incident to Iceland but I just ended up thinking I am wasting my time - I guess they may respond one day so in the meantime I reported them to trading standards via the consumer help line. I guess if enough people report them their staff will be told to honour the promotions

I bought this exact backpack back in April on Amazon and paid £36. I am very happy with the quality, etc! I bought it for day to day commuter purpose and the bag is still as good as new! This is a great price! Heat from me!

This is different it's Tesco's own but comparison to what the reviews are like for that one, this one seems to be better value to be honest it's made of a waterproof liner and can fit everything for me with plenty padding for laptop has a tablet pocket too and this one if I remember is classed as 22l aswell buddy

Yours looks different than this, Could be a bit bigger?

I got this one from Tesco £21.99. The quality is amazing feels great on your back and fits my 15.6inch with the charger, all my work stuff and stuff for a night away all fits plus still has space!

Yeh its the older one. Still a nice bag tho for the price. Happy with it.

Interior seems identical to the new version of the Stile Veloce V. I think I prefer the red accented old version.

Picked mine up today. It is as per the pics on the Jessops site. Product code is MB VL-BP-5BB. Labelled Stile Collection Veloce 5 Backpack. Presumably an older version. Google suggests Manfrotto had it on at £44.99 before they changed the range.

Went for the pixi messenger bag, works out at about £35 delivered:

Good price for the Manfrotto D1. Its a nice bag if you want to carry a DJI Phantom 3 or 4 - enough space for everything, and plenty of padding to protect it.
