Vileda 3 Action Broom 68p at Sainsburys instore
LocalLocalFound 7th JunFound 7th Jun
Found this deal at Sainsbury's in Harrogate, reduced to 68p. Not sure whether this deal applies to all stores or just a few.

Not instore at Cheltenham

3 Action? Would that be, forwards, backwards, and (my favorite) leaning on it? XD

That's an instore bargain, thanks for sharing @nat311 (y)

Thanks. Will consider. I have had Vax products in the past, they don't last more than 18 months. Have been recommend a Karcher by a relative who use theirs every alternate day but with distilled water. They have been using theirs for 5 years.

Utter garbage these things ,get a proper steam mop this is a waste of time ,money and effort

My mum bought this from curry’s and is very happy with it and does the job I have the H20 and would recommend that as you can use it for so many jobs in the house but it is a bit more money

Interested in buying a steam cleaner. Please could anyone who has used this give an idea if it is any good. Thanks

Still available in store, just picked one up.

Same place as this one, Wilko.

Where's that? Am looking to buy a washing line and get rid of my tumble drier

I voted hot, as it is a good deal for the item, but bobziz has a very good point.

Why pay £25 for branded when you can get a 60m non branded with great reviews for £30 ?

Thanks I checked my wilko when I see your post but had none in stock, I managed to get one today scanned at £2.50 I went back and purchased more for family. Thank you

Got the last one in Hanley, Stoke. Tried today and it works fine. Can't complain as it's £6.25

You still need to spray washing liquid and spread with a cloth or a sponge. Can anyone who has used these elaborate on what's the point of these? Just sucking up the washing up liquid?

Just found last one in bedford town. Well impressed, it's just as big as the karcher which I wasn't expecting, and it has an easy to remove water bottle (unlike the karcher!) And a springy slshock absorber thing in the neck

Thanks got one today

Well you have to add your own dust, might get lucky with some of the older stock though.

So it's 2 in 1 because it's a dustpan AND brush??

Yes it’s not safe to get out of your house anymore, so it’s best to shop online but “thanks for your concern”

You need to get out more....or then keeps us safe.

40% off Vileda Dust Pan & Brush Set - £3.00 Wilkos Instore
Found 19th MarFound 19th Mar
Usual price £5 but £2 off a Vileda Dust Pan and Brush Set bringing it down to £3

Good set. Bought from Amazon at a similar price, and only marginally less exciting than buying a Ferrari in the same colour.

Thanks for the practical constructive comments, I was just gna ask why not buy a cheap 89p one from Home Bargains ...but you've answered my queries (y)

I'd not normally pay £3 for this, but got it last year as I wanted a red one and it was the only one I could find in stores. I'm very impressed with it and absolutely would buy again. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into a practical design.

I thoroughly recommend this dustpan. In the past two years I've bought a lot of different dustpans some for work some for home, I probably have about 15 sets in use at the moment and this is the only one that I would buy again. Unbelievably. I've literally just had another one dropped off now, as I'm typing, it's a Ikea skvalpa. My first thought was it's going to be s**t compared to the vileda. :)

Its worth putting the money in better dustpans as cheap ones have a gap between the edge and the floor so when you sweep it goes under the pan rather than in it.

Wear and tear is discretionary as determined by what was considered "fair" usage, and if the item fails during the guarantee (depending on type of usage, and excluding "consumable parts") it can be argued as "not fit for purpose". And considering a "customer call line representative" can not see or examine the item, "wear and tear under fair usage" can not obviously even be determined or argued! My apologies, you are right about Consumer Rights Act replacing SOGA.

Sorry mate but your advice is wrong and often refers to legislation which is out of date. The SOGa(s) has been replaced by the consumer rights act, under SOGa a supplier was allowed to deduct for wear and tear/fair usage when considering a refund as damages, so i imagine same applies under CRa

to terriclarkfan: I was a professional buyer, and if the product is within the guarantee period, unless the item was misused (and it excludes "consumable parts" - eg a rubber belt on a vacuum cleaner) then you are entitled to a full refund. The law (sales of good act) also states it must be "fit for purpose". I have even had refunds / replacements outside of a guarantee (within a reasonable period) when arguing that point PLUS the threat of citizens advice or Ombudsman or small claims court. And the clincher can be that you will take it to the local press - no company wants bad press haha. Also, you do not have to deal with the manufacturer - your "contract" is between you and the company you purchased from. It's amazing how so few shop managers know the "sales of goods act", and just showing you know what you are talking about is often enough for them to back down. That all said - unless determined to fight on "principle" - I wouldn't go to those extremes for a relatively inexpensive item.

When I tried to claim on a Lidl guarantee, I took the item into store but was told I had to ring the customer service line to be given a code number which the manager would use on the till to give the refund. Ok...... But when I called the line, I was told I'd get a partial refund to take into account wear and tear on the item for the period before it broke. Strange. IIRC, I was offered £8 back for a £13 item. I even got a letter to that effect. YMMV.

This is a microfiber cloth that you can wash, and refillable bottle too.

You can buy an Addiss version, which admittedly costs more, but has a refillable bottle & washable microfibre cloth head cover. Even with buying a couple of spare microfibre covers that makes more financial sense in the long run, & has very good reviews too. There's generic versions available in the usual brick & mortar stores too.

Had one of these ages ago with Flash, they have stopped making them but found Wilko did the pads really cheap

I have one and it packed up spraying after a few months. Good mop though even without the spray.

Great deal. I need one of these so hope my store has them. Thanks for sharing.

Quote ElectricalStorm :- "I'm not sure karcher will work more than 5 years without change battery or blade..." As we all know, batteries and blades are considered "consumable spares and would be exempt from any guarantee terms and conditions except in exceptional circumstances, ie. Samsung Note 7. My point is that Karcher offer a comprehensive array of spares for their machines, some other manufacturers offer just batteries! Not much use when the blade no longer works! ;)

Vileda has 2 years warranty so it's £5 a year. I'm not sure karcher will work more than 5 years without change battery or blade...

What's so good about these? Paper towels or newspapers fine to dry with!

Yeah, that feature really sucks

No unfortunately , however I go every year and have been since 1993 :)

I have just bought one of these and it is very good - but - remember to only use distilled water if you are in a hard water area or it will stop working.
