Dodgy. probably all damaged from previous user and youll be charged for non existent repairs. Sounds like a scam??

I've used them a lot and have found them to be nothing short of brilliant personally

Have to use Enterprise at work. Wouldn't use them personally - appalling service.

They probably need all the good press they can get.

Sorry I should have clarified, my water filter is connected from the mains water intake, it then filters the water using reverse osmosis. I totally agree with you on the filter jugs, it's a pain making sure they're always filled up!

Water filter jugs are all the rage in Britain but they're cumbersome to use when the jug is empty and you need cold water instantly......... cost is only slightly less than bottled mineral water plus doesn't take long for the filter to degrade, which makes it easier to srtick to the bottled water.

The main problem is people are conditioned by advertising to think that bottled water is somehow safer

The rubber is a bit difficult to clean

yo - this is rubbish I'm afraid. One of those internet things which gathers momentum and sounds plausible. Until you realise that you are saying all drinking water in the world is cancer causing (cause they sure as hell don't A/C the water in hot countries). Very high levels of BPA have shown risk in mice experiments however, as proven by that grim medical trial for Theralizumab, humans process compounds in vastly different ways to animals. There is no current evidence that BPA causes humans issues. Apart from that, buy a bottle and re-use it - I'm all for it. But you can simply re-use any bottle if you'd prefer.

For what it's worth, I've also bought these with different branding, and they were so good that I went back and bought a load more. Easily the best water bottles I've owned!

careful, my wife bought 4 of these from Amazon (different branding), they leak really badly if turned upside down. Perhaps why they are so cheap!

Oh, you're one of 'those' I like to scream obscenities at people like you, buddy! Because it really pisses me off when you don't do what I want you to do I'm such a prick that I make it your problem! Then I go home to my fat wife, scroaty little kids, watch the football and cry into my gin 'n' tonic!

heh heh I use a well-known trail every week (mostly walking) and the dumb@sses that think bikes have priority always make me chuckle, there are also people who ring the bell as you are walking ahead with your back to them - you have left plenty of room but there might be 2 of them riding side by side - then as they get closer and you don't stand aside, ring the bell more and more frantically because you're not turning round & moving, then sadly for them they have to get into single file to go past you or even (this is really calamitous for them) have to slow down and wait for any oncoming bikes to go past first before they can pass you, you generally get a 'look' if this is so lol And don't get me started on the cyclists who think walkers should keep to the left :)

Just don't scratch the 'Bronson' 'buddy/pal/fella' or get it muddy, I can't risk ruining the boot, because, I'm such a cheap ass tool, I won't buy a rack for my 'BMW/Audi' because it'll mess up teh lines.

I'd still shove you in the canal if you came up dangerously fast and expected me to get out of the way or else smash into me, would give me an extra smile I guess :)

Did I mention, I ride a Santa Cruz Bronson full pro spec, £8k worth, full FOX 'duro' clad (+goggles) and I drive there in my BMW/Audi?

Reserved, Good gift for mothers day? Thanks

Yep, that was my point. There are about 800 Argos stores in the UK, so the chances of finding one nearby with stock is next to zero.

99.9% of all argos deals are low stock, soon as they go on here the ebay plebs mop them all up too... Look at that lego set that was miss priced the ebay plebs bought so many it alerted argos and they fixed it :\

Ok so strange question here but has anyone else found the water bottle pretty useless? Picked mine up at the weekend and it literally dribbles out... I've resorted to removing the lid to drink from it! Contemplating taking it back but would be good to know if anyone else is having this issue?

Thanks, the SatNav case will come in very useful!

Pref cameltoe

Same the big one too

I buy them because they don't leak. They have a lifetime guarantee and Camelbak will send you a new one. I lost a straw and they sent me a replacement free of charge. Great price - bought a 0.75L from Wiggle only a week or so ago for £13.99.

I've been through half a dozen Cabelbak bottles over past 10 years. Each time i give them the benefit of the doubt, but the same thing keeps happening, it leaks. The seal ends up going and the bite valves and straw can become dirty. Unfortunately replacement lids and valves etc cost just the same as a new bottle. I eventually switched to a Contigo bottle and have never been happier.

This isn't insulated, so it's is just a plastic bottle with a mouthpiece - albeit a fairly large one. I have the stainless steel insulated version and it's very good at keeping things cold, but the bite valve which is the same as this isn't that great to be honest. I found that liquid tended to seep out of it, and as someone else said needs cleaned out from time to time. The Contigo leak proof bottles on Amazon are better than these, and worth the extra money. Haven't voted either way, but I wouldn't buy again on the basis of the mouthpiece leaking.

Other colours are £4 Refills are £2 Stay hydrated.

Strictly speaking no you cannot. It'll mess up the filter. I've got 6 odd bobble bottles and with these type all I do is take off the filter holder and use it as a standard bottle. That way add any drink you want. Hope that helps.

Yep, I’ve done this

Probably not, unless you remove the filter

Indeed. Probably trying to keep us at our desks for longer by giving us a water bottle!

It's not the poor accuracy that is the issue. It is the sheer inconsistency due to constantly changing external variables such as hydration levels. So unless you have some magical measuring gauge which tells you when you have exactly the same hydration level as your last reading, then these sort of scales are totally pointless (other than for measuring weight!)

Damn. Spent£33 ish on Xiaomi smart scales a few months ago!

Rough idea surely?
