This is car shampoo that supposedly has a small amount of wax in it. It isn't used for polishing or waxing paint, it's used for washing your car. Usually you'd wash the car to remove dirt and grit (using this product), then polish it to get the paint smooth and shiny (using a polish such as Autoglym Super Resin Polish), then you'd wax it to protect the freshly polished paint (using wax). I hope this is clear now.

Im sorry i thought wax was a polish i must be wrong then !

It says wax so it is polish - I have heard Autoglym is rather good - pay cheap, pay twice - so best buy Autoglym!

Naw that just says I am a sexist , chauvinist pig! >;o) PS. You need to check what a smiley is if you want to truly embrace your social media spirituality and thus become enlightened! >;o)

This deal is for shampoo, not polish.

That's like a fairy washing liquid advert on steroids!

Euro car parts link

I can't see this on ECP, do you have a link?

I still have a 5l bottle of the original turtle wax wash and wax from 2001 when auto express gave it a recommended award for 300 washes a bottle. Ive nearly finished it after washing my car roughly every 3 weeks for 17 odd years......Might be time to get another!

Costco has previously sold the 20l (lifetime supply!) for around £15. The stuff is OK, not as good as if you were wax/buff, but fine for keeping your car clean for a week (weather elements depending). Heated, as a little goes a long way

You're a genius (y) thanks for the idea

Do these give off any noxious emissions?

Thanks may try punting some smelling stuff in it from oils to vanilla pods in the wax and see if this give out a nice smell.

Why? This is safer than a fire candle? Could save lives and money.

It does go after a while, just takes longer to go than the smell, annoying having to scoop it out :|

Just pay someone else to do it. That’s what I do. Most good car valet places will wax your entire car for around £15 extra

This is seriously good product but it's the hardest one to work with. It's right next to the pain in the ass. I still have 3/4 left somewhere in the garage as can't be bothered to use it again. Working with this stuff is like going to the gym for a first time and using all gear on the hardest settings.

Just picked one up in wimbledon, thanks!

This stuff is great. I paid about £50 for a tub when I bought my new car two years ago - still have half a tub left

Barbour Duke Wax Jacket £136.79 @ JulesB

Reduced from 189, to 151.99 and then 10% off with code EX10. John Lewis, HoF etc. £199

Back to original price, saved me making a decision

I have recently bought this jacket, in bark colour, it's like a slim fit tailored cut, so I got a xxl instead of xl and it fits well, if a little snug. Would of liked a tarten lining but not available. Was a little disappointed that it's not made in England, in fact it doesn't state where it's made!. Overall nice coat, hope it goes the distance.

On the lookout for a new jacket

Yep, I've just rewaxed mine. This is an OK price however I've seen these for £100-120. I paid £148 for mine.

Belstaff are another one...once upon a time they made decent motorcycle gear....now just a another Chelsea fashion brand

Could be someone reserved one and failed to collect it,as i think Halfords allow a few days for collection of an online reservation.

The HD wax is back in stock in my local Halfords in Keighley. Most surprised about that.

Just finished trying out the new Ultra HD wax and it is definitely better to apply as it is a softer wax. One thing I did notice was that the new wax is being advertised on Halfords website as being 150g which is the same amount as the old product, yet it Isn’t 150g,it is only 120g. Anyway here are a few photos taken after waxing, bit hard to see the results as the light isn’t the best.

That is true about the prep work, that’s why I have just spent the last few hours washing and claying the car in preparation for polishing and finally waxing

No. Spend the extra £30 on polishing. The wax is only as good as the paint prep.

Heat! The warm wax that is usually £6.99 is also in the 2 for £6 deal too

Great. It's what I use and they seem just as good to be honest. :-)

Thanks, ordered. I usually buy the Nair from the poundshop (pack of 8 x double-sided strips) and they work quite well, although like most wax strips, you do have to go over the same area 2-3 times. These work out to be cheaper, so I've bought hoping they are just as good (if not better)

Indeed, I will correct if pos

So the deal is better than the headline right? (i.e. x80 for £6) Hope it helps!

Thanks for sharing merb0786. Purchased iron out, oblitarate and glass polish.

Thanks. The more I read it seems to be like a quick sealant. Will give it a go for a little over a tenner for a litre (y)

I've got sealant on the car already, its been layered and does work well (actually the Auto Finesse one is excellent on solid colours) - this just does that little more. I was sceptical so originally tried just one bottle, but seeing it work it's made life that little better with the car staying cleaner for longer (its a white 4x4) . I've used it on the lower half, front and rear, where it really picks up the dirt. The higher parts of the car never get as dirty...its just helps a little extra, when cars get dirty the moment you drive them during the wet winter months.
