Says the glasses sell at 50p each not going to bother for something that may not arrive and so cheap.

My order arrived this morning with two free sets. We ordered a £3 lambrini and a bottle of the £10 brut, as part of a full shop. The glasses are good. Nothing special but I was half expecting them to be plastic, so better than anticipated! Thanks op. Hopefully most people's orders will arrive and they will compensate those who don't get them.

As I was saying... “Your order is on its way due between 10:00-12:00 Unfortunately these items were unavailable. But don’t worry as you haven’t been charged for them. 4 X Vinissimo 4 Champagne Flutes . We look forward to seeing you soon.” Very generous of them not charging me for the missing free gifts in my order. 😡 (mad)

Worked for me lambrini all the way 😘

I just chose a random wine that looked okay, ordered 4 and got x4 glasses added automatically. Just hope they honour it.

Chav heaven! (shock)

Just ignore the “taste” police. If you like something, go for it and don’t be influenced by people who have nothing better to do than sneer at others. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in their homes.... These glasses would cheer up a seasonal table later in the year. I’m tempted.

Mmmm classy

OMBRE. I was expecting a poncho and a hat with the set.

Good spot Millar (y) when I posted the silver ombre ones , I was told they were for * chavs* (skeptical) anyway I like them (unicorn)

Had these glasses for a few years; can hardly notice the name and they are proper quality glasses, nice and sturdy but not too thick and bulky. Not had one chip yet but they are a little expensive because of the brand.

Probably excess stock from Jamie Oliver's chain of restaurants which have just gone bust ;)

having his name on the glass is ultra naff so a no from me as well

Anything with Jamie Oliver's face on it is a no from me

price comp shows this is an excellent price

Are IKEA crystal?

it is all about Quality

Because it will cost many more than £1 extra to drive to Ikea and walk around like a sheep. You don't need c&c, just walk into a store.

Pathetic ! One of my boxes was in just a plastic postage bag !

Just received mine , all smashed and I cut my hand on a broken plate . Debenhams customer services totally unhelpful !

will not find a better bargain than this , never mind you win some , you lose some

Damn, that's terrible. Don't these companies know crockery is fragile?! Hope you get something else at a price you're happy with. I had the same experience for an expensive vase for my parents wedding anniversary a few years back......was a complete disaster since I then had to return broken glass to Debenhams (dangerous for anyone who comes in contact with it - would've thought common sense would take over and they'd ask me to dispose of it for refund). Took weeks for the refund to come through as well. Put me off buying anything fragile/brittle online unless a ridiculous bargain/misprice. Sadly the risk you take with online deals like this.

Strange all the comments regarding the code have gone 🤔

Chupa tealights are made in Italy so the other poster's comment is a bit crass / lazy / uninformed. Delete as appropriate. Seems some people can only feel good about themselves if they have made a snide comment about someone else. Don't suppose the feeling lasts very long. A compliment works much better, costs nothing and lasts longer (y)

None of them go together. I'm sure you don't have anything made in China in your house but hey you said your bit, well done :)

Where is your legendary sense of humour today? I'm sure the nails are lovely and will be perfectly matched with your Chupa Chup tealights and the other Chinese imports this Christmas. (unicorn)

A man who negatively comments on a women's appearance, thought every man knew that was wrong / sad / shows more about their self then the women (skeptical)

I thought they had been busy glossing the skirting boards in time for Christmas.

Purchased the argos set today, its going back tomorrow. Dinner plates are like saucers :(

machomansavage cheaper again

These are just standard prices, the dishes will go on offer at some point. The tumblers are cheaper in most supermarkets. I prefer the ikea dinner sets that are 50 pence a piece as they are brilliant white unlike these which are off white.

I bought the cutlery set when I moved into my flat – still have them now. They do the job. Unlike some cheap tea spoons I've bought from eBay in the past that bend at the squeeze of a tea bag. These don't bend.

We've had some of their "Porcelain" and have mixed feelings about it. Yes its cheap and "ok" quality. Some positives for everyday use, where you don't see £10+ going down the drain with every breakage. But there are a few negatives: 1) I believe they cheap out on the furnace temperature, so vitrification isn't completed properly, leaving some water/porosity. As a result they aren't as hard and more prone to chipping. But also don't always work well in the microwave. 2) Hard to predict how long they will maintain a range. Coupled with them being more prone to chip, it means you end up with a mish mash of dishes, as you can't replace with the same range. The microwave issue was particularly annoying. Food wouldn't heat evenly and dishes would come out extremely hot. Essentially water within the porcelain was absorbing the microwaves blocking parts of the food heating. For quite a while we thought it was an issue with our microwave as it was taking twice as long as my parents microwave (same brand) to heat equivalent food. In the end we splurged on some Villeroy and Boch stuff we'd always liked. The difference was night and day. Food heated evenly and in half the time, with the plates themselves only getting mildly warm. Obviously it may be OTT going for the very expensive branded crockery. But IMO its worth waiting for a sale on some of the cheaper ranges of the bigger brands and spending more. Post Xmas I usually see the gift sets heavily reduced.

Was tempted when they were 99p at Homebase. Yes there rubbish, didn’t realise there not dishwasher safe and all the red colour crinkled off when we put them in.

Had these exact same glasses at a Homebase I used to work at. They are cheap garbage, the coloured stems detach from the clear glass part really easily. Oh, and they are tacky as f**k.

And hand-wash only - how very practical.

A review agrees with you XD Good wine glasses for everyday use. Good design, make sure you put them down on a even surface otherwise could fall over.

It's amazing how chavvy still makes it's way onto HUKD all too often, now it's chavvy wine glasses (lol)
