I know it's not as low priced as it has been previously but this is the cheapest place at the minute that I could find in the UK with free shipping.

My honor band 5 disconnect very easily with my phone, also messages always comes in multiples even though it is just 1 message (3 notifications for each message). Is it just me?

goody

yes i use standard strap ...do you mean the huawei health app ?...you have to download an updated apk of that app ..the one in the play store is old

stec77

I also have the honor band 5 that I wear regularly although I’ve had trouble connecting to the app . What app are you using? Tia I also have a miband 5 still unwrapped but use the honor because of the SpO2. I was also hoping that the honor band 5 would not give me a rash but it does as well! Do you use the standard strap? I think it is upgradable?!

goody

the sleep function is the best i find it a bit more accurate as well

stec77

Why do you prefer the honor band 5?

Any equivalent price for this now?

I would hold on until 7. The battery life is a bit worse on 6 than 5.

Battery life 4 days?? Sometimes I worry this watch is nuclear powered it lasts so long. I wear it everyday - day and night and also for cycling regularly. Linked to mi app and strava with notifications on etc. I've had it since mid December and I've charged it 3 times!! Yours must be faulty?

Smm0

The sleep tracker is worthless. I often wake up at night and check the time.. never registered me as being awake (even though I operate the watch!!) The oled screen is a small rectangle inside the watch and looks terrible if you dont keep most of the display as black. The band 6 has a more acceptable looking screen. The battery life is abysmal if you want to use a y of the features like heart rate, sleep monitoring etc. 2 weeks battery? No.. 4 days more like. The message trick is cool, but of course your phone must be transmitting bluetooth and more battery drain all round. The messages will be spammed full of #### where it cannot display emoticons or images. Alarms need to be set in the app not on the band. The interface chugs when scrolling. Looks very cheap. Overall..do not go paying over £10 for one in my opinion. £20 at a real push. Wait for the Band 6.

which one you recommed with NFC ?

The good - one of the cheapest ways to get your phone notifications on your wrist. Compatible with third party watch applications if you don't trust the Xiaomi app on your phone or just dislike the feature set. Possible to sideload watch faces from a few places, again without having to use the Xiaomi app. OLED touchscreen is fab. The bad - Not terribly accurate with sleep monitoring. Screen has no minimal always-on time display, have to slap it on your skin to trigger the capacitive touch. The default strap is terrible and will come off if you're trying to do any physical work whilst wearing it. Also, there's a new Mi Band 6 out that's probably much better.

Seems like alot of duds and explains why even the Xiaomi site were flinging these for a tenner when you spent X amount on a phone hmm in November or so. Happy I avoided the temptation (embarrassed)

Maplin offered me home collection return. Told them I work away from home so cannot do this and they will arrange a drop off returns. 2 days later (today) they refunded me and told to throw away the watch. I also ordered one from amazon, 1 day in 93% battery left. Bluetooth been connected since it first paired.

Mine has terrible battery life too. Also take note that it registered about 25 steps all afternoon as i walked round my house. I woke up 4 times to check the time last night and the sleep tracker said i spent 0 time awake. Had and awful sleep and its said ive had better sleep than 99% of people. Absolute garbage device.. it can tell the time and i paid £7 for it.. worth it for that I guess.

kos1c

I'm not sure why mine is acting the same. Earlier I got to 52% and then factory reset and put it back in the box, not knowing how to turn it off. I just left it sitting on in the box, a few hours later, saw your comment above and decided to try and it was on 30 something %. Something clearly isn't right with it, people saying their getting 10-12% battery usuage a day, I'm getting over 60%... If I got 10-15% a day, I'd be happy, as it charges quickly and that's almost a weeks usuage. I love the display and the notifcations on the wrist, but can't be charging it once or twice aday when I'm not using it for anything other than the time.

akh46

It did update after I set it up and I have the same version as your screenshot. I have done a full test today and in less than 24 hours it has dropped from 99% to 15% and I doubt it will make the night so I think mine is faulty too, I certainly don't want to be charging it daily, it was it was down to 56% when I woke up this morning, I have turned most options off so not as if I am using all the extras it says will use more battery. My phone also says its a power intensive app and want me to close it as its using more than any other app. Also quite a difference between my Honor 3 and Mi Band of over 2,600 difference stepwise as I had both on today to check how it tracked.

Yeah, I saw the red light repeatedly... I guess if the official app isn't showing it, it's completely irrelevant though. Bizarre.

Eggface5

I would mention, officially there is no automatic SPO2 sensor on it. Its manual. However, the breathing setting turns it on. But you can only see that data using a 3rd party app. The official mi app doesn't show that. The SPO2 sensor is red while the heart beat sensor is green. When you go to bed, i can see the red light from it when I'm falling asleep

Psychotext

Yeah, I turned that on but it didn't take a single reading. Since turning it off the heart rate has been measuring more reliably too, so something clearly not right there.

Eggface5

Got mine a few days ago. Heart rate seems fine on mine. For SPO2 readings you need to turn on breathing analysis. Uses alot of battery though (10% overnight). The mi app doesn't show much so you are best off downloading mi notification app. It shows every measurement. I had no customs charge... but we all know the risk. Overall, a slight improvement over the 5. I like the screen alot. I like the workout history aswell. Notifications look better and more readable. I'm happy for £30 but will be looking out for the amazfit band 6.

Psychotext

No, went clean through. Had the usual declarations labels from China on it, but nothing else.

Yeah, when I used to actually bother checking it, because I'd be watching TV for a couple of hours before going to bed, it would register that I'd slept from 8pm to 7am. This despite getting up off the sofa, going up the stairs, getting washed and ready for bed. I only really bought it as a means to silently wake me up for work, by way of its vibration function, to avoid waking the missus up. I also set an arbitrary target of 8000 steps per day which I pretty much never reach these days. That's working from home for you!

I wouldn't say it was very reliable though. I'm up reading most nights and because there is little movement it registers it as sleep. Handy as an overall impression though.

iceburglettuce

Yes. Had my 4 for ages and the battery still lasts just under a month. I do t use it for much more than a watch and notifications to be honest.
