Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire 240 Tea Bags

Double check, those could be one cup ones, half the flavour. These are not. They may have changed the blend due to rising costs of raw tea. I've noticed it too as it's the only tea that I drink regularly.

Used to like these but seem to have changed taste lately

Picked these up yesterday. Good deal for a quality tea. Tried others, but can’t beat Yorkshire for me

Got 1000 for 10£ last week, cold

The same price at Sainsbury’s I bought mine there yesterday.

I never understood why people buy frozen ones, they’re the cheapest and easiest things to make - and you can freeze a batch afterwards to reheat later!

If you think these are the best Yorkshires you are deluded. They only taste of fat.

Best frozen maybe but not a patch on proper homemade.....

The rate why up the day after I applied. We had been warned by the broker though so we got our application in quickly.

Fd 1.94 (60% ltv) fixed for 5 years with no fee works out cheaper for me. Plus I can only see 1.89 on Sainsbury’s now

The only way is up........fix while you can but watch out for those fees if you have a low amount left to pay.

No nerves here. Though going by your delightful response. Your nerves are frayed and dinner is noodles again.

Yorkshire Tea 240 Bags Reduced to £4 @ Sainsburys

Proper Tea No One Cup Nonsense £4 at Sainsburys.
Get dealGet deal

If you haven't got a proper Sainsbury's or Asda. B and M have 210 in total in the box for £4:50. As on 14Th April

A good offer in so far as it goes, but Sainsburys them selves tell me don't waste your time trying their mini market stores

Still full price at Sainsbury's I've just been too (Derby, Wyvern). Will check out Morrison's. thanks for heads up

Still 5.75 ( shelf sticker and at till)in my sainsburys ( full size store)

Tesco recently had the 240 bags for £4 and the 160+80 Free for £5.40 right next to each other on the shelf, easily intermixing the two. Identical sized box (from Yorkshire's tea final packing perspective) except for the yellow print on the side, £1.40 price difference. Tesco is like walking around a Casino, ready to trick you out of your hard earned cash at every turn, (if you aren't eagle-eyed -careful). Items that are £1-£3, vary by up to £1-£2 depending on what week you turn up. Don't get me started on the con that Twinnings do, selling 100 Everyday teabags for an (inflated) £5 - 50% of the time, £3 the other 50% of the time, that is tarted around all Supermarkets, at different times. Complicit offer price fixing.

It doesn't come up for me and we have a very low LTV.

Ah, yes, good point

I'm not trying to say I was right and you were wrong. Just something for people to think about. Yes certainly the bigger the numbers the more beneficial it will be. Not sure how many people have a 95% mortgage which is in the £1800 ball park per month. But you seem to have done your homework and have a plan that works for you. :)

You missed my bit about overpayments. My mortgage as a FTB last year was for just under £350k... by overpaying a bit here and there and keeping fingers crossed for 5% increase in house price per year (not inconceivable where we live) I’m hoping we can get a rate at remortgage time that will be £200ish less a month - which will then be allocated for monthly overpayments to pay it down even quicker.

You also need to looks at the numbers rather than just the LTV. Example: Borrowing £130k (reasonable figure for a first time buyer going for a free fee product) at the end of 5 years you will owe £113k Example: Borrowing £130k after 3 years you will owe £120k. Then you take a 2 year fixed at 2.5% (based on today's best rate plus 2x ¼ points rise). So borrowing £120k after 2 years you will only be a few hundred pounds better off. So you are swapping £200 (or so) for the security of a fixed mortgage for another 2 year. It may be a good thing if say your finances change (redundancy or a baby). Just food for thought. :)

My mortgage is due to renewal in february next year. Just before brexit, so hopefully situation will be clearer to know should we fix for long or short term.

I'm in the market for a mortgage and YBS are offering the best deal for me. What's the name of the fee you're referring to? If you're referring to what I think you're referring to then I thought paying solicitors fees is pretty standard. Unless I'm mistaken and there are some providers who cover it as well?

Be aware that they are one of the lenders who do get you to pay solictors fees. They aren't obvious anywhere in comparison engines, but they do come up in the application. Basically another £500 of fees right there. Their 1.74% on 65% LTV is still just about worth it for us though.

Got a 1.99% on a five year fix on 9 years with a low LTV with no fees at all with First direct , been 12 days since moved in and cried every day especially today had a look for the first time of our sold house on Whitgates.

probably worth including the below additional costs: 1) £90 Payable on mortgage redemption 2) standard valuation fee of £390

Did you do a crawl along the coal seam? Both of my Grandfathers were miners, so I felt I had to do it .... . Only a couple of small stretches on your hands and knees - just gives a hint of what conditions miners back then had to work in.

Great post, thanks for taking the time to write it up. As a Yorkshireman, i'm ashamed to say i still haven't visited a few of these places [i do live 10 minutes from Salts Mills though, a frequent visitor, the park there is fab in Summer]

Apologies I just did a top 20 of places I was familiar with. I haven’t been to or heard of Cliffe Castle. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps with everyone’s suggestions next time I could post a top 30, 40 or even 50. I’m going to try put together a list of outdoor attractions for spring / summer next.

Sorry to do this but I'd highly HIGHLY discourage you from going here. I booked this the last time this deal was featured on here. It was so bad we left early and after threatening to post a review and images to trip advisor the manager kindly refunded me in full. I don't want to go into too much detail but this place is very run down and dated. The room was cold and dirty. It was just not a pleasant experience. Staff were fine, manager friendly. But this place desperately needs some TLC. Food not great at all either.

Telford’s ok just as good or bad as most other places in the uk , have lived here for over 20 years

Booked it thanks. I especially like the managers responses to negative reviews on trip advisor- I respect the GM for backing his product and his staff. Good man

Have seen them in a few stores in Manchester, Bolton and Birmingham but they did not make them easy to find. They were always in an open faced chiller cabinet filled with other random stuff. I would have expected to find them in the main chiller cabinets near the other pizzas.
