Don’t shop here slave labour!
I won't be buying anything from them again, unless it's proven that it's not them illegally using slave labour. I was just about to buy a dress when the news broke. I didn't buy it.

So it's fine if it's slave labour for say China or Taiwan but since its alot closer to home its deemed unethical?

I agree with you. I'm not saying it's right. I'd love to see a change in the law. It's why I bought from Boohoo as it's supposed to be under legal conditions. I'm really hoping that Boohoo aren't involved as this factory apparently isn't under Boohoo's contractors. But, it's contradictory the information at the moment who the factory supplies.
Apparently, it's the Nasty Gal brand within the Boohoo group where there's possible illegal employment and working conditions. Sounds like there could be trafficking, too.

Do they deliver to Leicester?
It's not Boohoo but a factory that they buy from. Have to say the reporting has been dire and deliberately misleading.
Boohoo PLC have a strict supplier code of conduct, a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery & a full whistleblowing policy – full details of which are here. In addition, in July 2020, boohoo committed to launching an independent review of our supply chain as well as to investing an incremental £10million to eradicate supply chain malpractice, to help to rebuild the reputation of the textile manufacturing industry in Leicester. Full details can be seen here.
