I booked on the phone, lady said I was allowed 10kg combined hand luggage for my laptop and my case. I Paid £45 to check a bag in.

Got to the airport and the lady there said I could take my 7kg case and 3.5kg laptop on the plane as the 10kg is purely for your hand luggage and does not include your small bag.

Sorry no refunds......crooks just as bad as Ryanair.

Pretty clear baggage allowance policy on their website stating your laptop bag can count as the small item you can carry on board.

Yes you were wrongly informed but the answer you needed was online all along.

You must have missed the bit about booking in the phone. It was a works trip booked at short notice and at nearly £400 wasn't exactly budget.

Nope, addressed that you were wrongly informed but you can still educate yourself online.

Easy to get things lost in translation on the phone and especially when in a fluster and at short notice as you mentioned.

Do you work for Jet2? I was very specific in my request and the lady was very specific in the rules being explained.

Seriously, whenever you speak to a firm about something do you then run off to their website and read all of the terms? You'd never get anything done.

Baggage policy is always clearly explained on an airlines website. It's a natural go to for anyone who's been on a plane before, maybe this was your first time?

As eluded to, queries over the phone may not be explained as well as they could be, but there is no doubting the black and white info provided on the website.

It was my first time with Jet2 and I only used them as they were the only direct operator to where I was working. I normally use real airlines with educated staff and will not be using Jet2 again.

Do you have nothing else to do? I'm baffled as to why you would waste your time this way.

Helmet.

Did you forget to put it back on?
Would explain how you confused the baggage policy.

I put it back on but unfortunately it was one of those helmets from Star Trek 2

Personally whenever I want to find out something about a company's product I tend to visit their website first rather than ask a human.
