Just sent a parcel via Hermes and was trying a few voucher codes and DEC10 gave me 10% off! (£4.37 instead of £4.85).

Tried a lot of bigger numbers without success! Hope this helps!

Edit. Lots of cold votes. I get people don't like Hermes but their reputation precedes them and some of us will be using them regardless! This voucher saves members some money and puts less in Hermes' coffers so everyone's a winner!

I wouldn't use this company if it was free to send.
So many times they claim to have tried to deliver but never did! No card left and online tracking says no access. Was home all week getting deliveries from other companies but it’s always Hermes that never turn up! Unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Great if you don't mind parcels being drop kicked over fences

Atleast it wont cost as much for your parcel not to arrive... In all fairness we have 1 guy who always does the deliveries in our area and he is a top bloke never had any issues since hes been doing it.
Hermes here have really improved tbh. They used to be shockingly bad and untrustworthy. Amazon delivery on the other hand, totally rubbish since they've started here.

Send about 50 a year with Hermes and never had an issue beyond return to sender. For low cost bulky items it's £6.10 for a signature with Royal Mail or £4.37 (with voucher) for comparable service at Hermes!

Or being left on doorstep as that is now accepted as delivered, if it doesn't require a signature.

If I have to send to friends etc Ive started using collect plus to store as it stands more of a chance of actually getting to a store

Some drivers trying their best, but their cs..omg..disgusting..appalling....I prefer to catch herpes than use hermes
Took a year to send a parcel to Stornoway, I could have walked there with it quicker. Would never use hermes again.
I’ve sent hundreds of parcels and actually rarely had any issues whatsoever. 20% off with student beans too
39245694-4UT6R.jpgthis is how my parcel came from hermes, thats not all 3 day 3 time slotts they never arrived. Then the neighbour came around with it in this state, they signed the parcel on my behalf too. So even if they were offering free service id say cold.
If you want to loose your parcel then send it with Hermes. I won't use Hermes even for free.
Save yourself the hassle. Just take whatever you were going to send. Run it over, then throw it in the bin!

Glad to hear it, I get a rude, ignorant driver who never rings the doorbell and just delivers straight to my next door neighbour. Hermes customer service is non existent, I dread it when I know somethings being "delivered" by this sham company.

Sounds about right, when ever I hear that I'm getting a delivery sent using there company, I just know something will go wrong
Seems it all depends on the driver you get weather you get your item delivered. Seem one been lucky do far anyway
I have a 20% voucher if anyone wants it PM me.
Package well no problems.
**** hermes, their drivers are thick as **** and they are liars. 3 days in a row i had to wait in all day for a hermes driver to collect a parcel and all 3 days no one bothered to show up but the driver wrote that the parcel wasnt ready to collect all 3 times. I ended up dropping it off at a drop off point. Numerous times when iv had parcels delivered rather than knock and wait for an answer they just put the parcel inside or behind my wheelie bin and left without ever knocking on the door.
I have just put a claim in because they have admitted they 'cant find my parcel' which I sent 3 weeks ago to a buyer. Let's see if they compensate me

Which part of the "wouldn't use" did you not understand ? Or are you bored / a hermes delivery driver who's just got In.
Edited by: "d3lboy" 3rd Dec
Send about 2,000 parcels with them, 99% are fine, the few that do go wrong are horrendous to sort out... But that's most companies these days tbh....

I'm one of their delivery drivers so don't tar us all with the same brush.

You ask all my customers on the good service I provide and the other couriers in my area do the same. Yes there are some bad couriers but plenty of good ones

Not a deal. Don't bother using Hermes. Their customer service is non-existent
Hermes are appalling in far too many ways to mention. Just look at all the stories in the papers. Along with Yodel the worst of the private companies that entered the Wild West parcel delivery market caused by privatisation.

Apart from many other trials I've twice had to claim a refund from sellers because Hermes simply dumped packages on my doorstep in the pouring rain. Given that I live in a central London high crime area its a miracle they weren't stolen.

I now refuse to purchase from any seller using Hermes and I know from various online forums and twitter that I'm not alone.Consequently this is not a deal IMO - you get what you pay for.

Is that qualifying you for 20% more damage, laziness & driver beligerance, & items stolen faster than usual ?..sounds about right.

Not even if they were delivering for free.

Look at the web and the media - Hermes is by far the most complained about company. Yodel are as bad a service but I don't think they're as big, so consequently don't get the attention Hermes does.

It's not just the problems with the actual delivery - although those are infuriating - it's also the fact that in order to increase profit the customer service is virtually non-existent - at least for the recipient.

I recently experienced a farcical situation where the system allowed me to select pickup for a large parcel, only for me to receive an email a couple of days later saying that the item had been returned. It was effectively impossible to speak to anyone to find out why.

Eventually after speaking to staff t the local shop/pick up point, who were nonplussed, I learned that the pick up point didn't accept large parcels as a matter of policy. However Hermes were still allowing recipients to elect to have parcels sent to a pick up-point that it knew wouldn't accept them and so the delivery would fail.

Garbage company.
