Worked perfectly when I tried it.
You gone to the link I've given? (Not dell.com if I've been unclear)

Worked for me when I tried it, do you know how long it lasts? I hope to get a new laptop in the summer when I get a job, completely skint at the moment though!

EDIT: ignore me, being dumb. Must learn to read.

Nice to know I'm not going mad then

I presume the Quidco 5% will work as well?

XPS systems have larger margins, so i think that haggling over the phone may be more productive.

Dell XPS M1330 … Dell XPS M1330 :)http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/dell-xps-m1330/4505-3121_7-32465545.htmlhttp://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,2150810,00.asphttp://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3787Any one else tempted like me?

Looks great - wish they'd hurry up and announce the M1710 replacement though (Vostro or something?). If that has an LED backlit screen too I may have to cancel my 1710 order!

I've just tried it and it says that I am not elligable or it requires more information?

Hey NotGareth what specification does the laptop you ordered have?

I am looking at the 'Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7100 (1.80 GHz,800MHz,2 MB L2 cache) for the Dell XPS M1330 mentioned above.

Unsure on nVidia GeForce Go 8400M GS or integrated X3100

The XPS looks great! Looks like Dell finally hired some new designers!

Thanks,

How is this thread/offer expired? I am so confused!

I have the latest Sky magazine which states: 'Sky Perks A little thank you from us'

It clearly states 10% discount offer on Dell XPS range of Desktops and Notebooks.

i think mods should be the only ones allowed to expire treads, too many trigger happy peeps on here, 2nd or 3rd thread in the last few hours that has been expired even though deal hasn't expired. charlie

Please let one of us know if deals haven't expired Thanks.

This deal hasn't expired, its just that Dell haven't set it up against the new XPS M1330.

I've spent 2 hours on the phone to various people at Dell tonight and there is nothing they can do.

Just have to wait for it to be updated, if it ever does.

Martin

Hey martinbickley thanks for the update in regards to the discount!

In the latest Sky magazine it states that it expires at the end of July so just sit tight and wait hopefully.

Are you also after the new XPS M1330? I am considering this over Apple's low end offerings but can not decide on what configuration. What are your thoughts on the specification and reasons behind a potential purchase?

Thanks

I've got an XPS M1210 at the moment, but fancy the M1330 due to the GeForce 8400M Graphics card.

Just need to get rid of my M1220 first.

any update on this discount code for the xps 1330guys?
i will contact them tomorrow.
:-( wish dell had a university discount program like the one in U.S.

I really doubt the code is going to be updated to cover the XPS M1330.

I've spent hours on the phone to Dell but all they say is its an online code and if it doesn't work then they can't do anything.

Erm, very tempted to get one of the xps 710 gaming systems now, espeically as they have another 170 quid off as well as the 10%.

I specced this and it came to 1555, reckon its worth it? Also are these systems easy to upgrade in the future, never dealt with dell before.

looks good but even then, a bit too expensive in my opinion.
if u buy, dont forget to go through quidco to get some more money back :-D

i need to use this code on the XPS M1330... :-(

No sure if anyone knows this but you can get a better deal if you haggle via the phone. I had my £900 PC dropped down to £550.

I'm afraid for the moment your out of luck using the code against the XPS M1330.

The 5% code works, or you could try phoning to negotiate with them.

what 5% code

insideman

what 5% code

PWTSRB?0HBF?BM - for 5% off any other Desktop or Notebook

martinbickley

PWTSRB?0HBF?BM - for 5% off any other Desktop or Notebook

tried that, only works if dell product is £799 or higher!

Can i use PWTSRB?0HBF?BM for 5% and 4.5% quidco?

I wish i could use all three lol 19.5% off would be great. :-)

Nope sorry, only one code can be used at one time.

You can use the 5% and quid co though.

Don't forget that quidco gives 4.5% of the price before VAT is added.

The code did not work for me, so I rang Dell ( using www.saynoto0870.co.uk to get the national number) and told them I had seen a similar Toshiba but would buy the XPS 1330 if they gave me the 10% as I had the code. The sales guy offered me the 10% immediately and I bought the machine.
MrB

great! did u ask for 10%? or more? as far as i know, for xps systems, they are allowed upto 15% (heard it from someone, never really checked by myself).
for other dell systems, 10% might be the maximum. great info
good luck with ur new toy!

Did you compare it to a specific one, if so which? I'm definitely thinking of getting the XPS 1330 and 10% off will certainly make it more worthwhile. Ta.

Guys the voucher is now working!

Let the orders commence.
