So? It was the shop's decision to use JustEat, they must have known the terms. JustEat is a business so it has to make money, if it didn't it wouldn't be available. If this service is convenient for you then use it. In many takeaways you can't use a credit card. I often don't have any cash or I don't want to go out late at night to a cash point and get some then hang around in the shop at night. You can also make a order and have it delivered later. So I could order in work before they open (most are open from 5pm here) and then have it delivered later.

i think 12% is alot of money to be a link service.
why not ring the takeaway when it opens
you get better offers direct from takeaway

u could also drive past a bank machine on way home and get cash out.
i would just prefer to putthe money in the companies pocket that does all the work

It's up to the business to decide whether JustEat works for them or not, not the consumer. To be blunt I really don't care, if JustEat works for me then I'll use it. JustEat should be an extra source of revenue for takeaways it's solely up to them to decide whether it works for them. The consumer really doesn't need the burden of worry which is why I simply don't care that they get charged 12% that's completely up to them.

Wow didn't know they charge 12% to the takeaway. But the takeaway do get more customers from this and its their choice to sign up. I will still use just-eat to order when they have a promotion on, but will probably just phone the takeaway directly if I wish to order under normal circumstances.

It's the Take Away's choice to use Just Eat not mine, if I can also reduce the amount I pay then I'm all for it!

Plus I wouldn't use the Pizza place I use through Just Eat, I'd go elsewhere!

Oh well thats business. I know i've tried a few places I otherwise wouldn't have even know about.

great thabnks

While 12% is a bit excessive, its is (as people have pointed out already) the takeaways choice to use them or not.

That said I usually always phone the takeaway rather than use Just Eat unless there's a money off code floating around. I've gotten quit alot of 'free' stuff when phoning them directly over the years especially if your ordering a decent amount.

saves having to repeat yourself over and over on the phone - then getting the wrong thing delivered when they mis-heard.

also great if you have no cash in the house

Just a word of warning, I had over £50 taken out of my account a while ago by just-eat.

I had ordered via them in the past, but certainly did not order that time. I got my money back from the bank, but a warning that's all...

anybody any ideas if you can use it more than once?

Don't forget Just Eat offer 4% Quidco.

It should only be a 40p charge when paying by card not 50p. Unless it's gone up in the past week since I last ordered.

Strangely enough our local takeaway's prices are cheaper on Just Eat than they are in the actual shop so we normally use Just Eat even when there's no vouchers available.

great offer thanks

can only be used once per profile

thanks

You can use it as many times as you want if you use a different telephone number each time!

Excellent thank you!

Just ordered and yup its 50p, Still cashback pays for that tho hopefully

Ty OP

Alot of the good places are not on just-eat but hey still decent

Thanks very much, just ordered a curry from a place localy i havent tried before, with quidco as well. Ive never even heard of just-eat, genius idea

For when Just Eat aren't doing any special offers, I've found that hungryhouse.co.uk have miles more takeaways on their books so I use them more than JE. I believe Hungryhouse only take £1.50 per order regardless so maybe that's why more restaurants use them.

Many thanks

great

Cheers mate gonna enjoy my grub soon now heat added

Thanks.

Used it again today! And they charged me 40p for paying by card.

Not working for me
