Can You Use This On A £1000 Tv?

Just remember before purchase that you should have a plan for the credit you'll receive - it has a short duration before it expires (usually no more than a month) and undoubtedly will be for less value than the item you want.

Really? I was not aware of an expiry on credit.

Credit takes 30 days to appear on your account and I was under the impression you could spend it whenever you want.

People who have bought from them can probably confirm, but I'm pretty sure people have mentioned in the past that it had a short expiry (it used to be a lot longer). This expiry condition is NOT clearly published when they offer account credit deals.

Be careful with your order, especially where there is a short promotion on such as OCTOBERFEST.
If you apply the voucher to an order and the order is declined, i.e credit card problem/security check etc, and you have to re-order. The voucher will remain locked out for several days-it does come back on the system eventually but means you can't just re-order with the right credit card details straightaway. This means you only get one chance this weekend you use your existing voucher - mess it up and your screwed.
My mom managed to get an £80 voucher re-issued, because of this earlier this year and the new voucher was valid till May 2010, so she decided to hold onto it.
Remember your cdiscount orders/emails are deleted after a period of time (not sure how long - but would say a couple of months) so always store the voucher and its expiry date 'off line' aswell, ie. copy and paste it to your googlemail notebook account.

Luckily she had copied it across along with the expiry date, as she has just decided to use it and firstly it was no longer showing on the account, in her inbox area.
and secondly CDiscount had invalidated the voucher! even though it was valid till 2010 so be very careful.
She has just tried to do an order with the OCTOBERFEST offer, using her existing voucher and the voucher states
"Unfortunately, the entered voucher code cannot be used for this purchase"
She emailed CDiscount and to their credit they did reply promptly both times but they won't revalidate the voucher until Monday/Tuesday at the earliest missing the offer, which I understand to a point as the admin staff don't work weekends, but they should have something in place - especially when doing such a large promotion over a weekend, she feels it is 'unacceptable' in terms of customer service, as the voucher is a 'valid' one till 2010

CDiscount have issue accepting Maestro cards

They seem to have an issue accepting any of my cards, and so I will soon be making a third attempt to use my £55 voucher....

Yep short expiry usually a month after its issued. Just found out to my dispamy that my £24 voucher expires today (3rd October) so tried to use it but its expired!

Now if you buy a travelcard \ bus pass and it expires on 5th day of the month then it is still valid on the 5th day. Likewise car insurance etc. So I guess I (wrongly) assumed that it will be valid today or am I losing the plot?

CDiscount Vouchers - I just think their systems aren't too well thought through yet a bit 'flakey'. Removing vouchers from your inbox whether they are valid or not is not acceptable, voucher should be left there, with a voucher checker / showing expired/used. Also its not completely obvious where to find them, when your sent one. The voucher should be reusable straightaway if the transaction fails.

For all my dislike of Tesco, to my annoyance there are some things they do well and Tesco Vouchers is one of them.

Regarding Cdiscount -Invalidating vouchers which they themselves have issued with a expiry date, before the expiry date is totally unacceptable.
Still on the plus side they do respond very quickly to emails at the moment and do seem to be helpful, knowing their are flaws with their systems, so hopefully they will be ironed out - OCTOBERFEST is a good promotion, a lot of the offers are still available; maybe they learnt from their over-hyped, over promoted 'HUNT THE EASTER EGG' competition which seemed to get so many peoples backs up, because there didn't even appear to be even 1 available of some items.

Forgive me if I'm being a little dim.

If I use the voucher above on a TV order will the discount be applied to the checkout so that I only pay the discounted price?

Just confused by the wording which makes me think I'll get some sort of credit note?

Any clarification would be great, cheers.
