I used Debs online about a year ago with a discount voucher. Had a major headache with them and in fact I would say it was my worst online buying experience.

Discount applied to order but charged full price, umpteen phone calls to resolve, wrong items delivered and part of order went completely out of stock so I had to return some items as part of a set, then remaining out of stock items they advised would never be coming in again did and they shipped them despite order being cancelled.

Their online backup is appalling. I had to call 2 seperate numbers at opposite end of the counrty to get this resolved with no single person taking responsibility.

I eventually wrote to the Chairmans office who acknowledged their online system needed updating and sent a £10 voucher. I sent it back saying if that was what he thought all my inconvenience was worth then Debs needed it more than I and they sent a £25 voucher.

Have to say I shudder when I see a post about a Debs online post now.

I'm currently looking to get a Samsung 26" TV (Hopefully with Freeview). I've recently come across (leave it!!) this site and have found lots of very useful knowledge. At Debenhams they have the "LE26R74BDX" if you use all the codes and whatnot you can get it for £417.59 - that is the cheapest I've found after A WEEK or research. This research also includes appyling and being accepted for an Egg card in a bid to buy online from Dixons [comes to £432.29].

Based on what you've just said is it worth buying it via Debenhams? Anyone else had a bad Debenham's experience? Can I get this TV cheaper anywhere else using any other methods?

Please advise...

I tried to order roboreptile back in the jan sales, for £20 ish, using free delivery code and other discount code, although the order went through ok, had a cancellation email, even though you could still order them from website
wrote to debs a couple of times regarding this and told them that there website ordering process was abysmal.... not sure if they have improved..

appears to me that if they think your getting to much discount they'll just cancel !:-(

THIS WAS IN STORE ON FRIDAY - if you opened a store card you got ANOTHER 10% off!!!

(pay card off or transfer to 0% credit card) -u know the drill - eveyones a winner!!

just what i needed - i was after a toaster from debs but me being me i was waiting for a discount code - with the debs sale, 20% dissy + free p+p code i saved over £10...THANKS VERY MUCH
