Does this have an expiry date? If I add this to my account now, do I have to use Uber within a certain no of days?

Thanks for sharing.

Dont think so, I added a code when they first started in the UK and they didn't come to my town until a few months ago and it still worked.
For new customers only
do you download the app first and then put the code in? ive never used uber before
yeah download the app, register, add promo code in the app.
Though i got a confirmation pop up, there is no evidence it is "stored" anywhere on the app after that.
ok.. thanks for your help nick
no worries, enjoy!
Excellent for anyone that needs £20 for a single journey.

Mine are all around £10 though, so the personal code works better because I get £10 and whichever friend uses the code gets £10.

Uber is great by the way. If you have it in your area definitely try.

If you know your fare is going to be cheaper than £10, then yes it makes sense.

The first time I used this my fare came to 96p after the coupon was applied. That was North West to East London
where do i enter the four number sms verification code in the uber app . i cant find anywhere on the app to enter this code
I got that too, but then it let me in anyway and I got an email saying I was verified.

Log in online and it'll show the promo code saved in your 'payments' header

Leytonstone Tube Slasher was an uber driver just check twitter #ubered for true about uber
many thanks op
This could prove useful, on a night out. Thanks.
has nobody heard of private hire cabs / minicabs? , its the same but cheaper (vouchers withstanding) and more reliable and they have knowledge of the area.
There has always been dodgy private hire and black cabs around but nobody takes any notice of complaints about small operations and only take notice when its a big business like Uber.
Great post! Used the offer last night and it saved me £19. The driver was a nice guy driving a nice car and the tracking system is awesome. And ironically when I booked the cab on my iPhone the cab was in my road and outside my house in a minute. A+ from me!
wouldn't suggest uber at all, the deal sounds good but when they have your bank details they over charge you and also take money from your bank without you even being in the car, it happened to me last year and it took a week or so for them to put it back into my account....for your own good don't use them
Find them to be overpriced. £17 for a journey that costs £12-£13 with another local firm

+1 a la Amazon Prime, does it work the same?
Stupid question maybe? If I use the code and the fare is only £4 for example, do I still have £16 left or is it like a one use only kinda voucher?
so is this a free taxi as long as it's £20 or under??

Nope voucher is for your first ride only I believe. Well it was the case for the £10 ones. £7 journey and didn't see any extra credit.

Correct. If it's over £20 you'll just pay the extra.
Code: AMEX2016 is another £20 off first ride. New users only.
Applied code and it only credited me £15.00. Still free though so cheers OP.
For the Amex code do you have to pay tge balance using an Amex card?
This work in Canada?
I'd recommend not to use uber, they take money out when you haven't even jumped in their cabs...just talking from experience so heads up
