They’ve been having problems for a while. The app’s essentially dead during the day. I’m having to add/remove stuff in the wee hours of the morning
Ocado aren't taking on any new customers at the moment to priortise existing customers. Announced on Facebook earlier.

Me too.
I took them up on this offer. Didn’t place a big order. Got an email on the day saying that some stuff was out of stock, no substitutions. If they can’t guarantee that you’ll get what you ordered, I don’t get the appeal of online grocery shopping to anyone who is mobile. Excepting food to turn up only for it to transpire that it hasn’t, is no less of a pain than going to the shop to get it yourself which is what I ended up doing anyway. With 30% off it was worthwhile; otherwise, no

In fairness to them, under ‘normal’ circumstances I’ve probably had 3 shops over the last 18 months that have had substitutions. I’ve had 2 since people started stockpiling but I know that’s not necessarily their fault.
Yeah, I didn’t order much stuff and got most of what I wanted and two subs; one that I was okay with and one that I wasn’t but they gave me a refund for it anyway so I can’t complain. Having tried out online shopping now, though, I can’t for the life of me understand why so many people rely on it at Christmas time. You need what you need sometimes and no subs will do. Each to their own, I guess

Book it well in advance and the substitutions are minimal. Christmas just gone you had to have your order confirmed 2 days prior to delivery, presumably because their systems couldn’t handle huge traffic (like now) and to make sure they had enough of everything in for people’s orders

You realise there is something going on in the world at the moment right?
