Who can be arsed to use an app to get 3p off a litre, that's not even £2 off a full tank

I find that a tank of petrol lasts longer when bought from Shell, BP or even Texaco. All of the supermarkets mix too many additives with their fuel, guess you get what you pay for. So yeah I'd rather pay a small premium than have to refill more than once in a week
I only use Shell Vpower + petrol, so 3p off better than nothing.

Depends what the price is
Morrison’s is 3p cheaper than Sainsbury’s and shell will be 10p dearer
My local shell is 9p more than my local Tesco per litre, I guess every little helps!

I used mine last week, £50 spend think I got £1 saving!
That's not taking me to a code.
Lol...unless your nearest garage is a Shell, theres no point doing this..your slight saving will be gone with your extra mileage to use it...😳
Another 1p with fuelpecker...
If you’re not fussy about fuel, use anywhere but Shell! It’s so expensive!

Yeah a few people I know would agree with you, but I have to say I haven't noticed the difference on the premium fuel on my 235i.

If that's your car in your profile pic then I'm not surprised I drive a fiesta so Vpower is a bit overkill for me

Wait do you mean you're putting supermarket fuel in a 235i??

I guess your probably the same kind of saver who spends £27 +vat at costco before buying petrol

Haha, I know what you are about to say and you are probably right. but the way I see it, I keep the car for 3 years then return it and get another one, so between now and the 3rd year you hardly notice the difference 🤫

Our Sainsbury’s diesel is 1.11
Morrison’s had a price promise for a month and think that’s finished . As soon as it did they all put prices up!
Title should read V-Power fuel only.

Ooooh I see, that's a really good idea.. I may steal it

The idea I mean, not the car!
I don't even think the 235i's were recommended to run on the higher octane fuel. The 40i versions suggest either but the remapped 40i versions from BMW actually instruct you to use a higher grade fuel. The car is fine on it but drives better on the expensive stuff. I know I lose a decent chunk when running 95 Vs 99 or 101. Unfortunately I don't have a shell near me so it's momentum and occasional octane booster
Shell logic..

We'll charge 12p a litre more than our other competitors then give the public a deal for 3p a litre off!

Yeah it does say petrol 95 on the inside of the petrol lid, but if feels better on the 97 and 99

I find a tank of fuel lasts MUCH longer when bought during lockdown!

Oooo such sass!

I don't believe you

Look kiddo I can only tell you what I've experienced myself. There's also plenty of videos demonstrating that supermarkets have less efficient fuel. I stand by what I said before. You clearly have a problem for whatever reason. I'm entitled to my opinion so do yourself a favour and keep your spite to yourself

You so clever. We're not in lockdown anymore. Just social distancing

Tesco Momentum 99 performs very similarly to V-Power (tested by multiple cars on a dyno), but is around 12p per litre cheaper around my way at least.

That's about halfway between the cheapest 95 and the most expensive 99 in my area, good call

Well that simply contradicts the hundreds of other posters on this subject who'll mention that supermarket fuel has FEWER additives (which is correct).

You can't beat Shell fuel.i also get good mileage from Shell.
I'm no fuel expert, but thats nonsense....supermarket fuels are EXACTLY the same as branded.
Only the premium fuels like shell V power are any different...but you then pay alot more for a bit more detergent...so unless you are buying the premium, you may as well buy from supermarkets and save money.
