There is an important update! Apart from some vouchers expiring today ...

When using ANY code, also scan your BonusCard, AND ... If offered a receipt, TAKE IT.

An extra £5 voucher is then printed, that can be used from the following day, and lasts 11 or 12 days, against further purchase of £40 or more.

From memory, this stacks perfectly with other offers, like the adding cash on to your BonusCard and getting a free £1 for each £20 you add to your card. And, has previously further stacked with the NHS/BlueLight BonusCard, which is immanently due to start too.

Iceland have a habit of extending offers, for those that actively use the initial offer. And, like this £5 offer you kindly posted extending to a fresh £5 offer, the immanent NHS 10-ish% off deal, if used, normally extends a further month

Can this be used multiple times

Probably not, as you need to swipe your bonus card, so it will probably track the transaction. But you should be able to use it multiple times if you have different bonus card numbers.
Ok Thanks I am going now let’s see if It work
My codes different must be personal

Thanks. Just checked my promotional mail and got one 😁
P.s. My barcode is different so I assume it is account specific to each bonus card?

That makes sense. As Scotland has different restrictions. Any chance you could share your coupon so I can add it for the Scots?

It wouldn't make sense for Iceland to issue a barcode per person. That owuld mean they would need to update every till with hundreds of barcodes for each coupon.
My barcode for £5 is same as that ...long number ending 0228.
Whereas online shoppers haven’t even been able to use their Bonus Card online since March. Nice
Does it work in northern Ireland????

Got £10 off 5 each
you get £1 free when you add £20, do you get £5 if you add £100 ?

Yes, you get £1 for every £20 added. Whenever I shop in Iceland I always go to the till first, load my card with any multiple of £20, then go and do my shopping and then ask them to take the total off my card. An easy £2 or £3 bonus
There's the same voucher without bonus card written on it on the Metro front page tomorrow.

Try paying for an online order with your Bonus Card. Used to be able to until March this year, when they suspended it for 2 weeks to ‘improve the website’... except, they just kept extending the suspension. Last I heard, it would be back up and running “within 6 months”

So, online orders have been costing 5% more than they used to for the last 6 months, and for the foreseeable future. Giving £5 off only in stores, on top of that extra 5% off, just rubs salt in the wound.

No bonus card needed with Metro voucher ... So pick up a few extra copies

Not specifically.

I have a Blue bonus card, for NHS, with a group barcode.
They also have standard red bonus card, with its own code, but if someone is in Weight Watchers, they get the red card but a different code again.

Normally, they also put adds in other papers, like Mail etc, all owned by same company as Metro, and each generally have their own code.

NHS/BlueLight scheme blue bonus card by any chance? But defo in England.
baldass25/09/2019 19:13

Yes.

HOWEVER ... Expect that offer to work increase on lead up to December. They normally double it, so an immediate 10% saving on standard store prices, and stacks on other offers, like NHS 10-20% discounts

Should work, as I got mine on email but it's the same barcode

Bloody hell. Maybe email them and complain about that? If you were used to getting 5% off before, they might give you a voucher as a goodwill gesture...
