Erm. No. Go look yourself?

I did. Their ticket prices are the same as other sites for the journeys I looked at.

So I think you're wrong when you say they're charging too much. The only way you can convince me is by giving an example. If you won't do that I suspect its because you can't.

Authorised train ticket sellers aren't allowed to make up their own prices. Tickets should cost the same everywhere (unless a train operator is having a sale through their own website). Sometimes Advance tickets can appear earlier on some sites, which might make a difference - but they're different tickets, rather than a different price for the same ticket.

It's the booking fees that companies like Trainline add on that can make them more expensive than buying directly from a train company.

Can you give us an example of the tickets that you're finding are more expensive (from/to/date /time/ticket type)

Did you try the ticket split feature? Usually much lower cost than Trainline.

anybody tried using the code a 2nd time on another account ?

with a similiar offer from skyscanner you could only do multiiples if you used a different credit card each time as it rejected the transaction if you tried to use the same credit card

given both apps use trip.com then I suspect it will be the same

As others have said, the prices for individual tickets are the same on all websites, although some have additional booking fees and some don't. However advance tickets for journeys several weeks ahead are sometimes loaded on different websites at different times. Also, individual train operators sometimes have special offers for their own services that are only available through their own websites (such as the 20% off Cross Country advance tickets, currently only available through their website using a code).

I have just booked a journey that would have cost £33 using split ticketing (and £54 by not splitting), by further splitting this into two separate transactions costing £17 and £16. By using two different email addresses to set up two different accounts I got £5 off each and reduced the total cost to £23
