Didn’t work for me
Unfortunately account specific, so rather pointless as a deal post as accounts that are valid for this promotion will be alerted via other means anyway.
Worked for me, and I didn't get the email. So thanks!
I've got the email! Thanks for the heads up
I got the email but no dice
Nice one worked for me.
Got the email and it says I'm not eligible
I received the email but when I go to add the promo code into the app it tells me I’m not eligible for the promotion
If it’s the same as the last 50% off code you need to enter it at checkout. It doesn’t work for some reason if you enter it in the normal promo bit.
I got the email and code doesn't work in promotional section or at checkout

I placed my order without being able to add the code. After a lot of back and forth with messaging them. They eventually refunded me 50% back
Worked for me, no idea if I had an email previously

Last week I ordered at the same time, waited an hour for them to then just cancel it. So I am pretty anti-uber eats at the moment. Giving them another chance, lets see!

They even sent me the email
Response I got after messaging support for nearly 4 hours:

“We have looked into the details and can see that the promo code you were referring to was set up for the specific numbers of people. The users had reached maximum numbers.”

I’m in exactly the same boat, I have been chatting to them since last night. I’ve never spoken to the same person twice and all I get is the same response within the same chat, that the offer was set for a specific number of people and that number had been reached. I even got told that i didn’t receive details of the promo from Uber so I wasn’t eligible for the promotion. It still didn’t change there response after I sent them screenshots of the email I received a day before I made my order.

I threatened to take it further as it was false advertisement. When contacting them, they then said it was only targeted at a 'specific group of people' which made no sense as they emailed it to my email address along with addressing me by name in the email. It took a bit back and forth in messages along with talking to someone different each time. But after providing screenshots of the email and stating the regulations they were breaking, they finally refunded me the 50% back.

Any chance you could send me what you wrote to them. As I’m just getting different people saying here same thing.

Whatever their reason for not giving you the 50% off, just reply and ask them to explain. As they most likely won't be able to. I've included the message I sent below, include screenshots of your email too and if they ask you to provide it again, tell them to scroll up as you've already provided it (they tend not to read the previous messages properly and this will encourage them to do so). And if that still doesn't work, ask for a phone number to contact Uber Eats directly. I don't know if my breaching term used below is correct, but regardless it is false advertisement. And there are places where it can be reported. Which I was prepared to do if they didn't refund me back the 50%.

You (representing Ubereats) have emailed me a code to use on ubereats, addressed me by my name in the email. I quote "This is just for you (NAME)". How can you email me a code advertising I can get 50% off my next order and then tell me after getting in contact with you, I am not part of a "selected group" it was aimed at!?
The terms and conditions for this code does not state the information you're providing.
That is false advertisement and I am sure you are breaching the Consumer Protection for Unfair trading regulations. I request that a satisfying solution be provided otherwise I will be taking this further with the relevant authorities.
