Sorry - cold.

7% off ! How rubbish. 10% off used to be common on Dell UK but now we get rubbish deals like £50 off or 7% off.

I have been keeping an eye on the US Dell site this July and they had 30% off deals on many of their PCs and laptops on the July 4th weekend and, since then, 20% off has been normal.

wot an absolutely ridiculous comment and reason to vote cold......

so Dell USED to offer 10% or have offered 10% in THE PAST (sorry my Delorean Time Machine no longer works!) but at the moment it is the current voucher and offers 7.5% discount.

Do you even understand the concept of this site?

Yes, I do understand the purpose of this site.

7% off is not a hotukdeal when Dell UK, in recent months, have regularly been offering 10% off.

A few weeks ago they offered 30% off for just 72 hours - that WAS a hotukdeal! You can join up to their VIP offer and immediately get a 10% discount voucher so, yes, just 7% off is rubbish. Slightly less rubbish than the £50 off 'deal' they have been running recently but still rubbish IMPO.

A hotukdeal will be Dell offering 20% or 30% off their PCs and laptops AND FREE DELIVERY like they have been doing frequently in the US recently. Or do you think that us mug Brits are just ripe for being ripped off, IMPO, by firms from overseas charging us more than in other countries?

If they can offer 20% or 30% off in the US then they can do the same here in the UK don't you think?

you seem to be under the impression that this site is about past hotukdeals that no one can get at this moment in time.......

while i appreciate that 7.5% is not as good as what Dell have offered in the past or what they currently offer in the US but as things stand 7.5% is better than nothing surely???

Of course I would rather have 20 or 30% off as is the case in the US but its not going to happen here realistically as people here will still buy the products with 7.5 or 10% discount

Maybe you should directing your anger at Dell rather than hotukdeals.as surely the culprit is Dell and not this site or an individual post for Dell??

I am not angry at hotukdeals - why would I be? Why say such a silly thing?

You are the one who appears to have taken anger at my comments. The deal is not voted hot so go figure.

So the actual proper deal is sat on 31 heat, while a deal piggybacking off both this and a deal posted last week, for a bottom of the line laptop, is on 2000+.

The people on this site, sometimes.

Does this deal end at midnight tonight or midnight tomorrow? I always get a bit confused with "Offer Valid Until" dates.

You could view it as the start of the 23th or the end. Why not just say expires 00:00 on the 23rd?

i think it may mean 23.59 on the 23rd

I haven't risked it so I just bought it and will return it if it's not suitable. Thanks anyway.

If I say I will be somewhere UNTIL 3 for example, then I would leave at 3 so if a deal is until the 23rd I can't risk that it may expire on the 23rd. I wish they would clarify this more or use different terminology! Spent ages trying to work it out.

I know what you mean tho, i hate they on vouchers at supermarkets and other store that write valid till but most of the time it includes that date that is written on there inclusive.
