Put something into your shopping basket and go to the checkout for any day then when it asks for voucher code/coupons click it and enter it. If your basket only has one thing it will accept the code in the bank and tell you your order does not qualify to use it. you then logout and continue your next shop (or empty your basket first) and then when you can use it it will apply to next order accordingly.

Hope you understand it.:thumbsup:

This voucher ends on 29th july though so have to have order delivered by then

I would call (and have done in the past) just ask why it couldnt be applied and say that the only reason you placed the order to that value was that you had the voucher

Anyway, I was asked where I got the code from, not knowing what to say I just said it was given to me by a family member who doesn't shop with Tesco online. The reason then given for it not working was because it has to used by the actual person it was issued to.

Perhaps the poster can say where they got the code from - ie from a shopping receipt, in a magazine, in future ?

I just used it ok - hope it comes off my bill ! :roll:

Best thing to say is that you received it in a email shot and if they want the email forwarded you have trashed it.As for it having to be used by the person who received it,well we all know this is true with a lot of codes ,but generally if a code is accepted on your account then you are entitled to use it.If it is customer specific then surely it should be rejected from the off.Call again and be more firm,tell them that you do not want any of the shopping without the discount and you would like a full refund.

If that is the case then I call and say it is not my fault that I didnt reach the minimum, if all items had been in stock then I would have.

Have done this with tesco and sainsburys (the summer promotion they charged me for the 'free' picnic rug because one of the summer items I ordered wasnt in stock) and never have a problem

Not a good way to do business and expect people to shop with them again.Asda do not do this,even if your order has loads out of stock items and your total bill is only about £15 say,they still apply money off codes.I have orders delivered where my bill has been about £4 - £5.Call them and say when you placed the order the total was correct for the voucher and through no fault of your own the total has reduced and therefore they should honour the voucher.

I've just recieved my shopping & there is a statement at the bottom of my invoice to say that the code couldn't be used.
My original shopping price was £82, however once discounts have been taken off it was less than £80, so I think that it why I didn't get the discount.
Rather than call customer services, I've mailed them stating the problem....this way I don't have to lie when they ask me where I got the code.
So my advice is.....use the voucher only if you know your total bill after special offers is going to be £80.

If that is the way they intend to play it,then they should automatically tally up your bill,to show the final amount after multibuy etc.Then the code will/will not be accepted and there is no problem.If they can't be arsed to set up their system to work this out,why should the customer have to try to work out how much their bill is going to be after multibuy discounts have been applied.Asda do not work like this.:x
Edit:Regarding Asda,what i meant there was,that they do not apply multibuy discounts automatically to your total and so allowing you to take advantage of discount codes more easily,unlike the policy Tesco are appearing to now have.

Once you have chosen your delivery date sainsburys automatically do the discounts from multibuys etc as you put them in the trolley (so best to chose delivery date first) so dont see why tesco cant

I used this code as well and got a message saying it was unallowed. Phoned up and they wanted to know where the code came from. Told them I think it was emailed to me, but they denied it. Anyone know where it did come from as it is annoying me, not the money but the principle!

Be careful though, the code worked fine for me on checkout but was dishounoured on delivery. Guess you just have to wait until your order is delivered and keep your fingers crossed!

I sent an email to Tesco's re not getting my £8 discount. Here's the reply I recieved.

"I'm sorry there was a problem when you tried to use your Ecoupon with your recent order. I can appreciate how annoying this was for you.I've arranged a refund of the promised discount and you'll receive an email confirming the final amount refunded. Please allow 3 - 5 working days for this amount to show on your account.

Please let me reassure you that we'll try very hard to stop this from happening again."

After being told no way on the phone I decided to try again via email and received this reply earlier:

"Thank you for your email.

I am sorry that the eCoupon was not accepted against your order when the final charge was processed at the store.

The reason for this is that the final charge made to your card was below the qualifying spend for the eCoupon and as stated in the Terms and Conditions for eCoupon use online you must order and have delivered a total above the minimum spend.

I can see that on this occasion, you were below the minimum spend due to out of stock items and so I have refunded £8 back onto your payment card as a gesture of goodwill.

Full details of this refund will be sent in a separate email."
