How to redeem your coupon:
Simply make a purchase on eBay.co.uk on an Eligible Item and pay with PayPal, credit card, or debit card. An “Eligible Item” will include a reference to coupon code PRICE8 on its view item page, just below the box showing the price and buying options.

Enter coupon code PRICE8 at checkout when prompted. The maximum discount you may receive is £50 per redemption and you are limited to six redemptions (up to a maximum of 2 items per redemption).

Coupon Terms and Conditions:

It does NOT include related postage and packing costs or any taxes which are not included in the item price).
Enter coupon code PRICE8 when you are prompted to during the payment process and you will receive the related discount on the final amount of your Purchase Price. The discount does not apply to the related postage and packing costs or to any taxes which are not included in the item price.

Is there any way to browse all items that this code can be used with?
First motherboard I checked is £199rrp yet a certain computer retailer has set it as £227 with the voucher taking it to rrp.

Does ebay not take the hit on the discount or do the sellers lose out.

As I understand it, eBay takes the hit but not 100%
Good combination with 11-12 nectar deal
No sellers take the hit but their prices have to have been at the higher price for 2 weeks prior to the sale. Similar to the supermarkets. In return sellers get promoted with increased visibility and banners and people talking about it on sites like this.
I got a £10 off pop up today .. it’s already burning a whole in my e-wallet
8% for only selected items? is this a joke, remember when they used to do 15% for everything
8% off because they charge sellers 10% plus a bunch of other fees. Lol
8% off random items I don't need/want that have been inflated for the code and I still gave HEAT.
Could of made it 10%..

Well that can’t be true, 100’s of examples of prices increasing immediately before a coupon is issued

Yes on these sort of codes the companies take the hit. On sitewide ones it's Ebay.

Unless they list in £1 offers but in guessing there is no crossover.

I'm not sure that's true. It looks like the laptop I bought with the recent 20% code for "489 companies" that was faulty will be refunded at the full price, not the discounted price, showing as a full price refund on Paypal waiting for it to clear...

Well on that one yes. Indeed I bought an item with it that arrived damaged and they refunded me 10% of the original price not discounted. But certainly on some codes that is the case hence price hikes.

It should be said if you are refunded in full you will only get back what you paid. Ebay will get their bit back. You won't get profit.

I've not tried to game the system but it did happen before when I bought a faulty item on a code and it looks like it'll happen this time too. I've had a PayPal notification for the full £300, not the £240 I paid. Not available in my account yet, but it's looking likely based on previous.

I’ve had this but the seller cancelled the order as they were out of stock. The email seemed to imply a full amount however the refund failed. The seller wouldn’t reissue it as he said he couldn’t so had to put a paypal claim in. 2 months later I got the money back.

pretty usual stuff. ebay is like that. That's how sellers / ebay operate :). Because people will think they are getting 8 % discount
1000 degrees heat for a random code that may pop up on a random item for 8% discount if you are lucky

Well those were the conditions I was offered as a seller and I have that in writing, maybe ebay doesn't check as well as they should. I'll certainly raise this with the category manager I work with
It popped up earlier and added to basket , now it’s away
