The Magnum offers £1,400 compensation so long as it is registered and you follow specific instructions to claim it. Not got the Abus with me so don't know if it has any compo back if it is broken. I will be using both locks to secure my bike. Pretty sure that will deter the passing thief. But any expert thief will still have ways of getting them off. I also avoid parking my bike too often in public places - which helps! The compo on the one you have listed is pretty impressive - they must have a lot of faith in their product!
They are both good locks but they both lack the compensation aswell. Best thing is to get two different types of locks though.
Can anyone post a direct link pls, I cant find the bike at 499 oO
Thank you for your help, I run a lot,, just thought a bike would save me going spinning too I will look at your link thanks
That's slightly above your budget, but not a bad deal http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m1b0s2p4057/MONGOOSE-TYAX-COMP-2012 Basically all your contact with the bike are the pedals, the grips and the saddle. Latter makes a lot of difference when it comes to genders, so I'd advise you to buy a standard MTB and change the saddle to a female version if the original one is uncomfortable. If you're planning to use the bike a lot I really advise to stretch the budget, as you'd get so much better parts (and less pain with the maintenance, repairs) for around £5-600. It really does worth it. I started off with an entry-level Specialized HardRock 2009 Comp, and through the years I ended up replaced literally every part one-by-one (except for the frame), and I couldn't believe the difference everything has made! You get what you pay for, and £300 is the entry level (everything below that is very dangerous and unreliable if you ask me).
I wouldn't mind help finding a ladies mtb please not sure what I'm looking for....max is £300 thanks
I got the same response. She thought it hilarious that it came with no pedals.
That should read *especially* if you pay £4k, you'll get cheap nasty peddles... RRP on mine was above that, but it still came with the cheapest, nastiest set of pedals that would have made you feel like you'd been ripped off even if you'd bought them in PoundStretcher :D
Air forks, XT parts and Hollotech 2 crank makes this so worth the extra £100
Yeah it's going to be 18 foot isn't it, you pollock.

Stunning bike, (Moda 2012 Rondo) weighing in at an astounding 11.1kg. £995 @ All Terrain Cycles£995
Not the best known make but a superb British make that not only is £995 but you can also get 36 months 0% finance online with no hassles. Stunning bike for the money.
tried 29er's, just can't get used to them, just not my riding style.. Good deal though if you like 29er's.
Something wrong with your head more like, Think about it if your a serious mountain biker your not goind to ride down ben nevis on a £89 halfords piece of crap as your end up serious hurt if not dead, you get what you pay for and for this money this bike is hot.
Yes, there is no interest free credit but in return you get a CARBON frame and better components. I would say off the top of my head, would work out a better deal even if you take into account the cost of a bank loan to buy it. Also, as you get more experience, the Corratec will be a better frame (a carbon frame hardtail XC bike rides much better in my opinion than than an Alloy frame) to base your upgrades on. As to CRC, I have had 3 bikes from them. 2 were set up perfect out of the box, the 3rd one was rather shoddy and I ended up having to re-adjust everything. Nothing major, but just annoying.
Watched that many a time since I started mtb'ing, all I can say is " screw loose". Them boys have balls of Steel.
