The standalone US blu ray release was region free, so chances are that these ones will be as well (y)

Is it good, never heard of it ?

Might be worth holding off and see if the other 6 seasons get a 4k release before taking the plunge. No sign of them on the horizon yet.

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition [Blu-ray] List Price: CDN$ 109.50 Deal of the Day: CDN$ 29.99 & FREE Shipping. Details Ends in 21h 43m 49s You Save: CDN$ 79.51 (73%) Product Description Batman Begins: Batman Begins explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city. The Dark Knight: The follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. Heath Ledger stars as archvillain The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart plays Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Rachel Dawes. Returning from Batman Begins are Gary Oldman as Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. The Dark Knight Rises: It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane. Special Features 48-page hardcover book premium featuring production stills, behind the scenes images Five collectible artcards of Scarecrow, Joker, Bane, Harvey Dent, and Ra's al Ghul. “The Fire Rises: The Creation & Impact of The Dark Knight Trilogy” “A Conversation with Christopher Nolan and Richard Donner” IMAX sequences: The Dark Knight Three vehicles: Tumbler, Bat Pod, and Bat Mobile Five collectible artcards of Scarecrow, Joker, Bane, Harvey Dent, and Ra's al Ghul.

True enough but as far as I'm aware the 2nd season hasn't been released in either format here hence my confusion on the cold votes. Ah well hopefully someone found it of interest!

Great series voted hot. Personally when it comes to tv cartoons DVD is more than good enough but whatever floats your boat!

Can't understand the cold votes, unless someone knows where you can get all 26 episodes on Blu-ray cheaper?

I like the look of the US/CN packaging, the discs sitting in card slots wouldn't bother me, Blu-rays are a lot more resilient than DVDs. Up to $50 now anyway. .

Yeah, given that the current exchange rate is C$25=£13.85, it wouldn't take much to push this past the threshold. Especially when, like I say, you can buy a slightly better version of the same boxset from amazon UK for £20.

They may do that by mistake, if price has been labelled incorrectly on package but you should be able to claim it back. The HMRC only collects import tax on items of £15 or more excluding delivery (based on current exchange rates listed on their site). So if it was £14.90 + £4 delivery, there would be no charge. If it's £15.10 then they would work out the VAT based on that plus delivery cost, and RM or whoever would slap a "handling fee" on top. EDIT: However there is a small chance that when it arrives in February, the exchange rate for that month fluctuates and it ends up just above the £15 mark. .

It's just a few clicks, less hassle than getting the twitter voucher but yes Caveat Emptor and such. I personally have never had nor heard of anyone experience any problems for products under the threshold. As long as a few people find this useful that's good enough for me

Seems like a lot of hassle just to save £1.60 (not to mention getting packaging that's more likely to damage the discs). Also, I'd be wary of getting stung with import charges - like you say, it should come in just under the threshold, but I've heard reports of post offices getting quite creative with exchange rates, and also in some cases calculating the threshold on the basis of the full cost (ie. including P&P) - in which case this deal could get caught.
