I'm sure these are great, but it's real hard to go back once you've used these. Pricey, but so strong. I've got some I've modified, swqpped the ends so I can use them for spreading as well. Nice and light as well.
The stanley ones are deeper (83mm vs 70mm)
Why? They are the same price per clamp.
I think the stanley ones at £11.44 on Amazon are much better value. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stanley-Clamp-150MM-6IN-0-83-035/dp/B000X29DDU/
Pretty good price I thought. This is around the normal sale price Pre-covid. I dont find a need for G clamps that often (and I've spent my money on other toys this months already, doh).

Axminster Trade Clamps Forged Flat Bar Clamp - £7.99 + £2.95 P+P (£10.94)£10.94£15.9631% off
Bit niche... Ran out of clamps on my last project. Been searching for some clamps, umming and arring on cheapo ebay vs some 'bang for buck premium' clamps. Decided to go for these … Read more
The bar has been forged and not cast, As compared to the Ebay one, with both ends cast. It shouldn't matter - the torque that can be achieved by the wooden handle is very limited. As these are generally used to hold things in position whilst glue sets, that's putting hell of a strain on a glue joint when released, if you are worrying about the jaws breaking.
In the title and them explaining why forge matters (apparently) in description. The other link does not have this description. The cast iron is the arm. Think Axminster in general aren't that specific on every detail (ie what type of steel is it, how hard the rating is for forged, or even how much lighter its supposed to be etc, does it matter? I don't know...) but they have good service/support.
Where did it say they are forged, I saw cast iron when I read the description.

Trying to avoid draws, I have enough 'boxes' from other storage items and find it annoying to rummage through. I've made a small cleat system to hang some tools, but as for shape/style I'm not sure which to go for. For me, clamps are always used in a project so I can pick and grab suitable sizes straight away (also a 1200mm can't fit in a draw).
In a draw...? Some people like clamp them on the edge of the work bench or hang them on a board, but don't find it practical. I keep all my clamps(c-, g-, vice grips, carvers, etc) in a deep draw of my tool box, and can choose what's best for the job each time...
Don't suppose anyone could post up how they store these clamps? Trying to find some inspiration online for storage solutions for clamps (y)
Nice clamps If you are getting them posted it’s £2.95 delivery for orders under £30

Makita DMR109W DAB White Site Radio £59.95 @ Axminster£59.95
Makita DMR109W DAB White Site Radio - £59.95 RRP - £89.95. For all you trademen/Site workers Good deal. Usually £89.95
Mine arrived today, going to keep it despite no dab+
Hope this helps someone: I have spoken with Makita Technical. The DMR109W does not have DAB+ and a lot of stations already do not work on that model. Just telephoned Axminster to let them know the description on their web site is not correct and to cancel my order. They, very helpfully, did so.
It’s oos any
It's unlikely to get a firmware update for it. It probably has a DAB hardware decoder chip rather than a general CPU which could be updated in software
It doesn't. 40kbps aac sounds awful. It's unbearable
