I think the Apple Pencil only works with Pros, Air 3 and the latest get iPad, so it depends on which version you have
Rarely. But to be fair. Adobe is what like £20 a month. Procreate is a one off payment. And is so easy to use and get tutorials for on the website and YouTube. Used photoshop for years, when it was one off payment, but fell out of love with the subscription model.
What if I have just ordinary iPad (not Pro) can I still benefit from using Procreate with Apple Pencil (iPad 2018)?
Does Procreate offer discounts on the app itself? I’ve been meaning to pick that and Notability up for a while.
And for each one that does that, there are dozens that don’t. Also, the fact they may be using a custom brush doesn’t affect the use of the app. As an aside, there are shed loads of free brushes about (see the Procreate users resources area). And since the last update (before this weeks one) you can even download literally thousands of free Photoshop brushes and use them with Procreate. It’s personal opinion, but I don’t think paying £14 odd quid for this book is a deal. But, as I say horses for courses. (y) 🏻
I'd say that you'd get a very different experience with Undaunted when compared to Air Land Sea. Undaunted is, at its heart, a deck builder. There is a campaign book that leads you through 12 skirmishes based on real events (although that is essentially window dressing). Each scenario dictates the tiles you use for the map, the victory conditions and the different units you'll deploy (Scouts, Riflemen, Machine Gunners, etc.) It is then up to each player to use their deck and supply cards to best achieve victory, with each unit offering different abilities (Scouts must scout a tile before any other unit can move on to it, Riflemen can capture command zones, etc.) Combat is resolve by way of dice rolls and so adds a certain degree of randomness to proceedings (in addition to the deck-building aspect). So, there's a good amount of replayability in each scenario as a roll of the dice can see you change tactics fairly quickly. As mentioned above by @bazpoint, it's sort of a lightweight war game in its overall design. I'd say that it's a great way to introduce someone new to tactical games to the genre or get a young person interested in board games. At this price, I'd say it's well worth the price if you're even mildly interested in the genre as it's a nice campaign to play through with someone and a good all rounder if you're looking for something to occupy 30-40mins. Edit: definitely watch the Rodney Smith How to Play video linked in the original post to get a feel for the aesthetic and the gameplay. He always does a good job of instructing on a game's mechanics and highlighting a game's strengths.
Is this anything like Air Land Sea?
You keep finding these bargains. Good spot op
Wholly agree. It's a great game to blast through in around 30mins. Nothing too heavy, but enough depth to get you thinking.
Good price for a well rated tane
