Got it ordered and it was told it was back ordered due to high demand. I was happy to wait for a bit longer and now they have refund me the full price. very disappointed and probably just one of those gimmicky promotional tactic this company is using. Will need to think twice to order stuff from them from now.
Thanks for this! Was hoping there would be a black friday deal for this tripod!
Excellent price though op!
1.4kg is a bit heavy for a travel tripod surely?

24 months interest free credit on all orders over £500 @ Calumet Photographic
Not sure if it qualifies as a proper deal as such but 24 months interest free from a great photographic seller is not to be sniffed at if you are in the market for some new kit. Ap… Read more

Can't seem to find this now... I can see the D5200 @ £389 but not sure if that's a decent price https://www.calphoto.co.uk/product/Nikon-D5200-18-55mm-VR-II-Digital-SLR-Camera-Lens-Kit-Black/355-822H
why would i trust that? it says the usual price is 450quid oO
Changed the photo. Ones from the Calumet website didn't allow url or saving image. Never did mention that it was a mark ii. There also isn't a mark i, just the original G7 X, which I put in the heading.
You only had to read the first few lines of the descriptionoO
Deal posted is MK1, no mention of MK2, but photo shown is incorrect.
This appears to be the older 'mark I' version from 2014, not the one depictured on deal miniature

Good deal for right now, how much does this normally have off in the cashback promos? depends whether your need is immediate. mine isn't so I'm waiting until it's back on the cashback and combine with any codes... jessops seem to normally have a 10% off lenses code around...
Amazing price. Pays for itself if you know what you're doing.
Sure opinions on whats a deal may vary but if like me you were waiting for the price of this to drop, it is a good price imho.
Just bought 10!!
I'm not sure my meaning of 'too good to miss' is the same as yours...

Well I think our opinions are both irrelevant now this topic is long dead. Lol. I've used a mk3 and the 6d but I think you don't understand what I mean. No, you aren't going to get a landscape picture as good a quality with an a6000 as a 6d but you'll get far better action pics. I'm probably a bit salty as I was a big canon user and they are so far behind at the min.
And your A7R for under £1039 is from a UK supplier and includes a 64gb SD card and Manfrotto bag? ........No, I thought not. Your suggestion that the crop A6000 has similar image quality to the full frame 6D is incrediblly naive and devalues your position. Do you own a full frame camera? P.S. I'm not knocking Sony. They do produce the best sensors at the moment and my wife owns a RX100 which I'm happy to use if I don't have any of my cameras with me.
Mm.. Ok. A quick Google has turned up that I can buy an a7r for cheaper than this deal and has almost twice the resolution and much better quality photographs with higher dynamic range. A7s average image quality? Are you nuts? Lower res yes but it can shoot in candle light and has far more dynamic range. The a6000 imo takes similar quality photographs and is a third of the price. An a7s is also only a couple of hundred pounds more than this deal. All you have done is 'correct my errors' with misguided info that seems to be from an argos catalogue. Yes, it's a good camera, can you buy a camera better than this for whatever purpose you want it for? Yes. Ps ALL the cameras I mentioned beat this in video hands down. As I said before, it depends what you want to use it for but you couldn't accept that open approach that cameras have different uses. If I wanted to shoot in only low light at full frame with no video, inaccurate colour reproduction with low dynamic range and a huge camera body yes, I might consider this.
Firstly, I'm not being defensive. I'm just correcting the errors you are posting. Lets deal with the latest one:- You said that several of the cameras you mentioned were better than the 6D at everything (and don't forget that includes the price). The A7R is more expensive, has poorer high ISO performance and doesn't focus as well in low light. A7S does have good low light performance but its fairly low res, average image quality, particularly with jpeg files and it costs 40% than a 6D. The A6000 is cheaper but is a crop sensor and has poorer image quality. The same for the Panny GH4. As for video, its not my thing, I never use it on my 6D so I can't comment on how good it is but the bottom line is that none of the cameras you mentioned are better than the 6D at everything.... not even close.
Umm.. Yes, and the 6d doesn't do all those things well either so I really can't see your point. I mentioned several cameras that are better at EVERYTHING than the 6d (now outdated and a few years old) and around the same price. I'm not sure why you are being so defensive, I'm just trying to help the dentists spend their money more wisely:) Now if you wanted something that could literally do everything you could save up and get an a7r ii.

I think I'd rather the Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 VC for less or wait see if the Sigma 24-70 f/2 OS materialises.
Great comments here! As a few have said already, this lens is not really for the casual photographer (unless you have lots of disposable money) but it is a fantastic piece of kit! Can't wait to get mine next week, it will be an upgrade to my 24-105 that has served me well but is a little slow. The IS is nice but that doesn't stop subject motion it just stops camera blur and I'm pretty steady handed as it is!
Some good detailed comments on here from people who know their stuff
This is my most used lens professionally. I could probably get by with JUST this lens most of the time, and I paid a fair bit more than this!
That's a stunning price and a stunning deal for one of the best zooms on the market. Especially for UK stock. Have some heat
