I used the term guy as I do not know the sex of the commenter. I could of wrongly assumed it was a man and in today's culture that would of sent a woke over the edge. Likewise I could of addressed them as a woman and that may of indicated I'm a homophobic anti feminist bigoted white privileged man. So guys it had to be.
Guys guys guys american slang does my napper in
The 5kx or dresskx are both at £250 rrp, not a million miles away from the rrp of the turtle. The lower end 5's are still sold with 7s26
And this is where I think people have an issue. The 5 is supposed to be the entry level automatic Seiko. Having a watch valuing circa £400 with the same movement as the cheapest possible option doesn't bode well.

It has to, but many companies don’t follow that rule literally. They can import cheap unfinished movements from other countries and assemble it in Swiss to get round the “Swiss Made” rule, please refer to the Quora link above.
If it says Swiss made then it has to have a Swiss movement. Look at the Drefuss you've posted it says Swiss made and has a Sellita SW200 Swiss movement fitted.
Yepp I said something “like” them movements. Also its written ‘Swiss Made’ on it - correct me if I am wrong please, that doesn’t mean it must have swiss automatic movement right? These are part of many “click bait” terms like companies use to upsell the products. There are many “swiss made” watches around having Japanese movt?? There are some loopholes these companies take advantage of. quora.com/Can-technically-a-Swiss-Made-watch-have-also-a-Japanese-movement-machine
If it had A seiko or Miyota then they couldn't print Swiss made on the dial.
Actually, I’ve just had a look at the image of your watch - don’t think that’s SW200 movement. The Les Originales ‘Tradition’ Automatic is the one with SW200 movement. The one you have is Automatic 21 Jewels movement, could be like Seiko 7S26 or Miyota 9000 series?

sorry for the delay no, i was not suggesting less reliable merriam webster say kinetic: of or relating to the motion of material bodies and the forces and energy associated therewith. automatic nounDefinition of automatic c
: done or produced as if by machine : mechanical 1
: a machine or apparatus that operates automatically
seiko say "A powerhouse of technological innovation" i think i'm implying kinetic was a marketing word to update the idea of automatic and mechanical, both rely on movement to operate. technology and the association with " modern" ideas. although the introduction of the capacitor is crucial, without movement ultimately neither will work "automatically" what i think or reason doesn't make me right though, i just may place the ideas in a different order.
What do you mean "kinetic though, sounds more"? I doubt know if you are implying it's more difficult to repair/less reliable? Kinetic is a quartz movement powered by a capacitor which is charged by movement.
i know somone who bought a seiko automatic in a charity shop for £10 18 years ago, had a small repair last year, tightening a loose screw. kinetic though, sounds more.... something a nice gift for sure
Seiko is a brilliant brand but I'm not a massive fan of Roman numerals and the rose gold coating won't stand the test of time some opt for the stainless steel version if you can. https://www.lowryjewellers.com/watches-c1/seiko-mens-presage-automatic-leather-strap-watch-srpb43j1-p10103/s10156?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=seiko-men-apos-s-presage-automatic-leather-strap-watch-srpb43j1-02-7487&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&gclid=Cj0KCQiAg_HhBRDNARIsAGHLV53w068tRMLHmoruO25M7YbKGap8OlKwShkslKH_bRLvv3_eGUxiuHwaAlShEALw_wcB
Very nice dress watch for classy occasions! Good price too! I know it’s “only a seiko”, but perpetual calendars from other well known brands cost many times more than this! Bargain! (y)

Not really sure. I mean any Zeon I've seen has been quite budget, but I believe that Barbour wanted to use Swiss parts (but dunno if that was only for their mechanicals) so I imagine that there will be a semblance of build quality there. I'd need to read up a bit more to say for sure.
Or the Walker...
That is one nasty strap. Nice watch face though

Same price back in June, RRP is a bit OTT but good offer for eco drive not to mention cuff links thrown in. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/citizen-eco-drive-bw0140-50e-cufflinks-chapell-jewellery-with-code-2018fd15-claimed-rrp-250-with-70-off-15-off-after-code-2950832
RRP 250, is this a joke. S3 frontier is cheaper. But for 75 pounds it is worth considering. Nice looking watch, dont care about cufflinks.
Can’t go wrong for that price (y) . Good find
