Wow nice, was this recent?

Agree with Mark take your chances on the Argos EBay outlet ones, I got an i5, 1TB HD and 4GB ram for £189. They advertised it as having BT when it didn't so the refunded me £15.99 :). It was a refund but the factory seal hadn't even been broken.

Snakeyes646

It's not a great deal but it's ideal for kids or elderly

£99.99 on eBay

Blackhatter

This is cheap for the 8 inch Tab 3. 8 inches is much better than 7 imo. HOT. Good spot, deserves more heat than this imo.

Is this the latest spec samsung.

I have been using a Medion for around five years... Outlived the Toshiba that cost more... They are okay for home use

verysleepy

Think you'll find these to be end of line and that will be why ASDA were floging em cheap, but as ASDA don't have any I still think it's not a bad little laptop for someone on a budget. As for build quality Medion Ag are a German subsidiary of Lenovo / IBM and use decent branded parts.

SƬEVO

Medion are not renowned for their excellent build quality. Personally I would steer clear of this laptop. Pay a little more and it will last longer. Just my opinion...

verysleepy

That's what my last purchase said too, but not a mark on it.

Mine was perfect too. Total bargain. Ran like a dog out of the box, which might have put some people off. Removing all the bloatware from Ashampoo and Kapersky sorted the build right out. Also windows 8 needs a couple of hours to chill out and sort out caching, indexing etc. Now runs like a total dream.

Mine arrived today, no marks on the laptop at all. Could tell the box had been opened, but you can't complain for the price.

Got mine this am not a mark on it ? Has this ever been returned or just clearance stock. Anyway perfect basic laptop for my 10 year old. Will use these guys again....!!!!

Which? magazine has said that the 7inch Kobo Arc has beaten the Kindle Fire HD. Maybe have a look at that, but it's probably more expensive.

mas99

I'm quite keen on getting one of these but £119 at John lewis with 2 yr guarantee for a new one seems a better bet. For graded I'd want it to be cheaper. Also , as they are being discontinued I'm waiting for them to be reduced further.

Stranded87

It's not a bad specced little tablet and this isn't a bad price, but you can get it refurbished on ebay for the same price. Also just as a warning it's a total waste of time unless you either root it to run stock Android (which admittedly is fairly easy) or are already pretty heavily invested in the Nook ecosystem.

I'd buy a Kobo Glo over this if you've any interest in reading manga/comics on them. The XGA resolution of the Kobo provides a big boost compared to the VGA of this one. Good price though, and 800x600 is perfectly fine for regular books so heat added.

topazz

Got one for xmas as a present for Mrs topazz. got mine from Sainburys who had it on offer at the time for £99. She loves it and uses it all the time. The glo feature works a treat and is well worth paying the extra as it makes the ereader much easier and more pleasant to use in low light conditions. The nook is IMO, a well designed and attractive reader with a soft touch rubber feel to the plastic. Also worth getting an official nobo cover if you can find one at a discounted price. Recommended. have some heat.

Warning - I have bought a mp3 player from this company which was faulty. I returned it and it was promptly replaced by another faulty unit !!! When the extra postage costs were taken into account it wasn't worth sending it back again. These units are not tested properly - beware !!!!

What I want to know is, how does a wireless transmitter in a battery identify which key has been pressed on your own remote?? That is what the description tells us I think. I can understand the battery case AA/AAA housing the transmitter and a smaller battery for powering it. Optimistic as I am, I can't see that battery being effective enough to also power the remote for any reasonable time.

jack73bump

Just received a 'no we don't' to the battery question.:(

jack73bump

Saw the reviews on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Remote-Control-Converter-SV1100/dp/B000OS1CPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296824612&sr=1-1 Guy talking abouut interference hasn't read the instructions as there is an anti interference setting. I am running WiFi and haven't had any probs

jack73bump

As i said i've been using one for the past week and have had no probs in a fairly large house

kyleb

hmmm let me know how you get on with the extra batteries. I was thinking of a keene IR distribution unit but this is considerably cheaper. Any ideas of reliability?
