Great find. Seems like there's some great savings there.

Yes - i just picked up an i7 (8 series) laptop, with FHD IPS screen, 2GB NVIDIA video and 512GB SSD for £590 delivered. Cracking deal, IMHO
Nice one. I'm still searching. Found the perfect workstation, but it didn't even have a GPU.
For the benefit of others

I've been browsing around the deals for an hour or so. Not pulled the trigger on one as yet as nothing has 100% what I need.

They are good deals, but if you are buying from the outlet, be sure to check out whether the same model is available from other outlets such as europc.co.uk/. Even with the discount, some of the laptops are cheaper there and still come with a 1 year Dell warranty etc.

Can you elaborate on what model or share a link for this deal? Sounds like what I’m after. Cheers

This is a filtered selection of i5 and i7 SSD based laptops, from £417 after discount :

Because it is the Outlet, the stock is constantly changing as there are usually only one or two of each item. I have bought around 10 systems - desktop and laptop - from the Dell outlet over the last few years. All have been excellent value for the specs, and in perfect condition.

You have to keep a close lookout for the system that best meets your spec, then just pounce on it and not wait around !
Edited: looks like the filter doesn't carry on the HUKD link - but the page is easy to filter to your specific requirements

Proper thunderbolt USB C or just display port abilities?

I think it is just display port rather than thunderbolt.
Bikertov thanks for the info and guidance. Much appreciated as I’m not that up to speed on these sites (or laptops)! So thanks again
I just ordered a Dell Precision 15 7540.

It's bizarre as they said that it can take two weeks to build it, despite being an outlet purchase. Just received a confirmation email saying 13/11/2019 for delivery. Hopefully it is quicker than that.

Not sure if it's slower because it's a Dell Business laptop.

That is the one thing I have never worked out - why it takes so long. After all, you are buying a specific item that already exists on their inventory, in that you already know the Tag number of your machine.

I think they are warehoused overseas, but it still shouldn't take so long to ship ? But that is my only real criticism of the Dell Outlet.

Yeah it's strange.

I do know they import laptops when building laptops to order, but I assumed outlet items were local; especially as these outlet items all have UK keyboards etc. If they're importing them, it means that they are shipping pre-built laptops from overseas and then changing the keyboard to UK/Ireland before sending them out.

I still think they're local though as the stock is so limited. There is usually only one or two items per product. I'd expect that to be much higher if they were offering the laptops to all localised Dell websites.
The Outlet items are probably returns / cancelled orders ("Refurbished") and minor cosmetic damage ("Scratch and Dent"), hence limited in stock levels and the Tag numbers are already known.

Probably all stock is built and warehoused centrally for all markets, then shipped as required, so they would not change the keyboards, they just build whatever is needed for each market with whatever is needed re. keyboards, power leads etc.

I have bought both types, and apart from being in slightly generic boxes, have always been immaculate and as new condition.

That's good to know. The one I got was marked as refurbished so I'm sure it will be in good condition.
Not a bad deal but surely better waiting for black Friday? Although to be fair black Friday has got progressively worse with each year
