Wonderful comedian, fantastic work for charity. Nuff said.
This part just says that you really don't understand any of it and very likely don't want to. But I won't get in to it too much because the mods will just delete these posts anyway. But I'll leave it with this. People don't just "choose you are a he or a she". For many people, sex and gender are two completely seperate things. Gender is what you're born as and sex is whatever you want it to be. And it's very much not a "fad".
The idea that you can somehow choose whether you are he or she is faddish, yes. The idea that others should then have to agree is authoritarian if enforced by legislation. Izzard is a biological man; he has the apparatus of such. But part of his 'true self' is being transvestite. 100 percent behind him in that and have attended plenty of demos, parades demanding legal equality. If Izzard is now a 'her' then the meaning of such is greatly devalued - hence the understandable annoyance of feminists.
So people choosing to identify in a way that reflects their true self is just "a silly fad" ?
