Double discount-voucher offer (£22, then £18 off) @ Eurocar

I've just booked car-hire through Europcar's website, and used the following voucher codes:

CUPONATION2020MAR
(£22 off when you spend £220 or more, valid until 30/04/2020)

MVC2020FEB for £18 off
(£18 off online bookings)

... plus 10% QuidCo, hopefully !

You need to enter these codes on the Payment screen, *not* on the Search screen. And yes, it does seem to allow you to use both codes... I was surprised !

So, this £287 car hire has just cost me £244.44.
And QuidCo has just confirmed that for this £204.52 sale (huh ?!), they've tracked 10% cashback which is apparently £14.32. Well... close enough.

So the overall total will be £230.12.
£57 saved !

I was always told never to double dip. Especially while abroad!
Doesn't accept alphabets in the promo code

As I said, don't enter the voucher codes on the first screen... choose your vehicle first, then on the Payment screen, add the voucher codes there. You'll get to see the discounts applied, before you enter any credit card details.

Thank you.
When I add the second coupon code it replaces the first - no double discount for me

That's really weird. Both worked for me.
What you could try... add the £22 discount code, then go back to the Search criteria screen... you'll now see the same suggestions of cars as before, but with the discount included - it even says "discount included" above each suggestion, then select one to go back to the Payment screen, and add the second voucher code.
Let me know if that makes a difference.
Having got all excited about this deal I went straight to the link. I'd have to say they are mega expensive....I searched through a few comparison sites as I wanted a skoda Octavia estate.....the price on europcar was £433 for a week before the discount codes....other sites were showing the same car for around £270....so even with the double discount and cashback it's still more expensive.

It may work out cheaper for some and it might just be the type of vehicle that I wanted....but double check on some comparison sites to make sure you're getting the best possible deal.

Yeah.... I found exactly the same with Hertz. On their own website, they're ridiculously expensive, even compared to the Hertz prices on Expedia.co.uk. But for Europcar, they were about the same price as Expedia (but then got a lot cheaper with the discount codes).

And I avoided Enterprise as (true story) last time I picked up a car from their branch inside Gatwick Airport, their employee genuinely copied my credit card in front of me, and went off on a spending spree during the following week. He was smart enough to do it with me watching all the time, but stupid enough to buy stuff, using eBay, and have it delivered to his home address in London. Genius. I got all the money back eventually - after a lot of phonecalls and hassle. And the craziest part: I reported this crime to the government's Action Fraud website, as I had all the receipts and proof of who did it and when they did it, but they came back and said they wouldn't pursue this, as I wasn't the victim... the credit card company was. Are you joking ?!!!

Ahhhh, I love car hire companies.
Yes but ... no more £1 one way
Turo.com forget about traditional car rental.

(But don't book through their website, I found it cheaper to just use as a search engine.)
