I went for firm and yes it's firm but not uncomfortably firm. There is some give but barely dips . I do not have any problems with my back at all, considering I had spinal fusion. Spent a couple of nights in a premier inn last week and it crippled me. Can't comment on medium firm I'm afraid
Out of curiosity how firm is this? (i know firmness is subjective) I've always struggled with a dodgy lower back (APT) and as a result like mattresses that are basically floor boards, does this do the trick?
I got one during lock down, when they first started opening up the shops. Was a bit of a performance getting one but managed it
This has become the practise, double sided last longer but we live in a throw away society now, so most of these mattresses are not made to last. My real beef with the ikea mattresses is thats theres never any stock, im surprised so many people have tried them considering they are constantly oos near me
Everyone seems to love ikea, but aren't they only one sided? I've heard it's better to go for the Double sided ones. "Designed to be used on one side only – no need to turn." What a lie. Only reason it's one side only is because it's cheaper to only make one side.

They do recycle https://www.dreams.co.uk/recycling-services
No recycling of old-mattress tanked the deal for me, small car etc. Heat for the price though.
We swapped a Silentnight Box Sprung mattress that was really cheap for one of these mega expensive online foam ones... I lasted a week before returning it. Bought a top spec IKEA Foam and Sprung one. Of the 3, the cheap Silentnight Spring was by far my fave.

I know it's an old deal, but posting for future reference. The industry standard for quoted spring counts for mattresses are based on a king size.
Some things are more susceptible to faults than others.
Everything is susceptible to fault, it's important how a company treats you directly or indirectly (through the sub contracted company) when something goes wrong otherwise the product isn't worth the money (y)
Thanks ordered (cheeky)
Surely how good the mattress is is the important thing?

DON'T BUY - purchased a 10 year guarantee with my mattress and had it thrown in my face. Booked an appointment as the mattress was bowing, the engineer turned up, very rude behaviour - as soon as I opened the door the first thing I was greeted with was "can I have a permit, I was initially taken aback as you'd normally greet someone with a good morning at 9am, then I instructed him to park in a 2 hour permit free zone, which he was already in (I found out after he stormed to his van and drove off) - shocked at the attitude from Sam at FIRA Service Technicians (company used by Dreams to validate your guarantee) - stay clear

60% off Beds at Dreams - Holman Pocket Sprung Mattress £479£479 Free P&P Free
Looks like Dreams are having a stock clear, pretty good deals for anyone interested. Just grabbed myself a bargain.
Got used to it now took a few nights! Must admit I’m sleeping really well on it so having bought it blind I’m just hopping longevity wise we get a few years use out of it! But for just over £300 seems a pretty good buy so far!
How are you finding the mattress?
Will let you know after a few nights! Our last mattress had properly collapsed so this feels very firm in comparison. If you read the reviews on Dreams some people say it took them a few days to get used to it!
Wow thanks for that! Not sure if it’s for me then! Are you happy with it?
First time lying on it tonight and it’s definitely very firm!!

Thanks nearly bought the dream one if its not for your post
Seems to be £349 has price changed or is there a discount code?
Sure, actually I was wrong, it's 1850 pocket springs. I got it from Amazon a few of years ago, Silentnight Stratus Premier 1850 Pocket Natural Mattress, Double £309 on a flash deal. It is around £450 now but Amazon don't sell it anymore. Fantastic mattress though. Mattressman
For a double? Would you mind sharing on price you paid for that and where? If you recommend Thanks
They do a 40 night comfort exchange policy. Basically if it doesn't suit, providing the mattress protector has been used, you'd pay £49 fee then be able to swap to any other mattress. If you go to a cheaper one you won't get difference back, if you go more expensive you'll pay the difference. I worked for Dreams until recently, I'd say always try in a store first.
Nice first deal @uwutm8y thanks for posting! (y)
Looks good. Thanks for sharing @uwutm8y
I've been looking into getting a new mattress and I've seen one online at Dreams : https://www.dreams.co.uk/therapur-actigel-plus-response-4200-mattress/p/131-00678. What I noticed though is that it only came with a 1 year guarantee. I was looking also at these foam mattress and hybrid mattress but I just dunno. A lot of the reviews I've seen on foam mattresses are straight after purchase which doesn't help if someone is also looking for longevity as well as comfort. The foam mattresses and hybrids do seem to come with longer warranty but they do look inexpensive to produce.
